I am so confused by the low ratings for The Chateau on StoryGraph and GoodReads. I really enjoyed the plot, quality of writing and foreshadowing. It is NOT a one star or two star book. It is a solid thriller so glad you enjoyed it too.

I found the audiobook for The Ballad of Black Tom to be so confusing. It was hard for me to follow and pay attention. I think I would’ve enjoyed it more it I had read it with my eyes.

I felt the exact same way about The Girl from the Sea. It was a nice story and beautiful graphics but the romance was way too rushed. I wish it had been more about the main character accepting herself without relying so heavily on a relationship, OR more about connecting through the relationship. It just felt shallow which feels terrible to say but I just didn't feel enough heart from it and wanted to.
