Just short comment: There are no learning styles in terms of 'learning by doing' or audio/visual learning etc. Veritasium has a great video about it. That does not mean that for some people learning/studying in a different way than reading may suit them better.

By the way, you can drop the entire pdf into ChatGPT and ask it questions about the paper. It will parse all the text in the pdf including all the equations correctly.
@SamuelBoschMIT5 күн бұрын
Ohhh really? Are you sure it translates the equations well? That would be awesome

@@SamuelBoschMIT I pay for premium ChatGPT, so maybe with the free tier there could be some limitations on what kinds of documents it accepts. But I use it regularly to summarise papers, and I ask it questions. It’s very good.

Very Cool Video Samuel :) I am also interested in Research even if I am probably end up in industry but who is the guy you worked with who easily understands every paper?

@@SamuelBoschMIT i think you put a bit too much emphasis or care into prestige. i dont think them being in harvard is significant, their capability and level of compression is a lot more fascinating and intriguing to me. good vid tho! just wanted to point something out. perhaps my opinion is worthless because i am not harvard alumni 😂

Dude, as a fellow academic, I am not really sure that you should publicly disclose that you are reviewing the paper (should be anonymous). 😅Or did I get something wrong? Maybe it would be better to choose some random paper from arxiv as an example.
@SamuelBoschMIT5 күн бұрын
It’s ok since I am no longer actively working in this specific field so it doesn’t really matter

@@SamuelBoschMIT I agree with @peterzeman2749 ... you were still asked to review it (or at least that's what I understood), and most journals have strict rules about discussing papers that you are reviewing with other people. Further, I checked and the paper doesn't seem to have been released as a preprint (couldn't find it at least). The authors might not be thrilled to find their work publicly shared pre-publication. Btw, a number of journals also have strict rules about using AI in peer review ;) Thanks for the video though, interesting as always :)

Well, they can pay me for the review and then I will care hahahaha while doing it for free, I don’t really care too much ahahah
@peterzeman27494 күн бұрын
@@SamuelBoschMIT I see, but the authors still might care, and also the editors of the journal..
