✨ about my channel
I will be sharing the ups and downs of life and how to attempt to get through it in one piece. I’ll be sharing realistic life advice, minimalism tips, routines, vlogs, and anything else I think you would benefit from! Life is messy and unpredictable, and learning how to manage these hurdles is the first step to leading a happier and more intentional life. We're all trying our best out here, and I just want to share what is and isn't working for me.
Sending you all my love,
Grace

love to hear it!! I'm so stoked to be posting more book content and having people vibe with it!! I fear that more book content in general is where my channel will be heading in the future hahah (my ultimate goals for the future of my channel: homesteading/gardening vlogs, minimalism + general anti-consumerism content, and book videos!!)

I'm laughing at Our Wives Under the Sea (which was my suggestion hahaha). Hearing more about your takes on the books, I def get why it is not up your alley. I went into Our Wives Under the Sea convinced there were going to be mermaids... I see you more as a pop fic/romance/good feels/fast pacing reader than slow burn/literary/genre reader. I didn't realize you didn't read SF! Glad you liked one in the genre though! I also very much liked Project Hail Mary and second the comment suggesting Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. Very similar in the ~vibes~ especially with how it describes science.

Currently halfway through Blood Sisters by Vanessa Lillie. Also would highly recommend Angeline Boulley’s series (Firekeepers Daughter and Warrior Girl Unearthed). Might be a bit out of your comfort zone but both authors cover issues facing Indigenous communities today

Also I used to think Sci-fi wasn’t for me that I didn’t “like” it even tho I never really read it! But now I have read a few books in that genre and I have loved all of them so far! Red Rising being the best one so far! It’s just so good!

The Botany of Desire: A Plant's-Eye View of the World by Michael Pollan. It was a book required when I was studying Botany in my undergraduate and it is SUCH an interesting read. It is a non-fiction book but does not read like one in any way, shape, or form. You can easily read it without much Botany knowledge. Such a cool look into how we as humans behave and shape the world (and plants!) around us.

Me saying "Because we're just trying our best out here!" as if you could hear me 😅 You're very generous with your ratings, from your comments about the last book I thought you were gonna give it one star (I know I would in your situation). I'm reading "Braiding Sweetgrass" at the moment and I have a ton of Emily Henry and Yuval Noah Harari books waiting for me to finish this one. I loved this vlog and seeing your reactions while you read. You're the best 💜

@@gracenevittAs a child I once was at home alone in the afternoon and switched on the TV. I came in the middle of a (for me at the time) really scary movie and was so scared to be alone. Switched it off immediately. A few years later I realized that it was E.T. So I had a very similar experience 😅.

I'm late to the party. Project Hail Mary has been on my TBR for a while, moving it closer to the top. Some books I always recommend to people are Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel (speculative, science fiction, 'pastoral apocalypse), the Night Circus and The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern (fantasy, romance) and The Sundown Motel by Simone St James (horror/mystery).
