I haven’t watched yet, but I think you just did the equivalent of reading the last Fitz trilogy from Robin Hobb.😂😂 If I’m not mistaken this is the last of four interconnected series. I’m still going to enjoy watching. I’ve never read her either.

Technically, it’s not the wrong place to start , But I would at least read the infernal devices and then the last hours that way she could have some idea of who some of the background characters that are in the story

My first and only Cassandra Clare wasn't even the actual novel, it was a manga version of one of the prequel books. 😂 Without spoilers, it had an interesting concept, but I didn't like how the story and romance progressed. The best thing was the art, which had nothing to do with Clare. ⚔️

I've read the Clockwork books and they were meh. I've also tried to get into the mortal instruments series and could not get beyond book one. Watched the series though. I might might might give the mortal instruments a try again at some point.

I read the second book and basically decided I'm not that interested in the last one at all. Just all meh for me. I preferred her Infernal Devices. Her best series. The mortal instruments is at least such a mess that it's entertaining 😅
