my tbr got to 200 books end of last year, so I’m fighting for my life this summer to get it down to 90 books before the year is up now that my reading slump is in hell where it belongs. my goal has been inspired by this series, so thank you! 💕

I love how like all of the bookish people working on their tbr this year - I also do it and I'm hoping to get my tbr done with like 40-50 books on my physical tbr!

I've been seeing a lot of unhauls in every aspect and people talking about anticonsummerism, so I think it's become a whole movement to buy less

I got rid of all my books that aren't already favorites, which is probably good because my digital tbr is almost 200 books long and I'm saving a lot of money by borrowing instead.
@skarrlettewinter66692 ай бұрын
I decided to do something similar, I'm not making content out of it, but My physical unread TBR is over 280 books and I need to be looking for a favorite read from there. I also have an extensive Ebook library that I should tackle, but I know I will probably never finish it in my life time because it's over 5,000 books. (I've been collecting books on my kindle since 2013, so there's that.)

i feel like this video almost fully encapsulates your reading taste. tbr takeover is so fun cuz you're reading a lot of older books that i haven't heard about in a long time. i'm definitely more interested in well matched now!

Old books lol, I have a lot of books published in the 1900son my shelves. I'm currently reading the Da Vinci Code series by Dan Brown, which was started in the 2000s

I'm praying and looking SOO forward to you reading Kings Of The Wyld! That's literally one of my all time favorite fantasy books! And it has kinda cozy-ish vibes. Roadtrips and ride or die friendships.

I looooved a wizard's guide to defensive baking, it was so cute. I listened to it as an audiobook last year but I'd love to read a physical copy at some point. I just loved the horse. It did what nettle and bone couldn't for me!

Oh! I have Dial A for Aunties home from the library right now! I think I will save this video and watch it after I have read that, it always makes it so much better listening to you (or other youtubers) talk about a book I am just about to read if I do it that order. So, I will be back!

Haha, I read Defensive Baking in January, so wouldn't agree it's summery, but it is a very cute and fun book. I was so glad when I read it, because I needed the fun vibes. Your TBR Tackle is going so well, congrats!

I've heard that the rest of the Aunties books aren't as good. I really enjoyed the voice and tone of the first one and have Vera Wong on my TBR. I think that Well Matched is my favorite of the series. I DNF'd Well Played as well. The final book is more at the Ren Faire because Mitch's sister (I think?) goes on tour with the band to many Ren Faires in the area all summer long.
@lovekatie35284 ай бұрын
the fourth book in well matched is like 90% ren faire so that one will probably be up your alley

I could have sworn T Kingfisher said A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking defy’s age ranges. Because it’s a YA protagonist who challenges conventions on why she has to save the world and has her own apartment but it’s cozy enough for middle grade and above. Either way it’s such a good book
