Interesting concept for a video! I certainly empathize with these professors. When I taught calculus at the University of Waterloo, one student's review claimed that I "threw chairs." Since all the chairs in the lecture hall were bolted to the floor, that would have been a superhuman feat. :)

So long as "fun" and "easy" are the main criteria for college courses, it all makes good sense.

I understand someone not appreciating a professor's teaching style, but to go so far as to insult them in the ways these former students have is so terribly unfair. At the end of the day, they are people too. I felt so sad hearing them read what their students wrote. There's no excuse to be a horrible human being...

Lehigh was once an engineering school with tough professors whose student ratings would have made a sailor blush but now not a peep about any of them. :

This was really funny :) It's tough to be a professor! Nice when they have some personality and sense of humor, though.

But aren't professors students, too? This makes it seem like professors don't care about what students think of their class. Do they not read class evaluations? Sure, some of these comments were outrageous, but I'm sure some of their points were valid. Seems like a lot of universities these days are hiring "professors" with no teaching experience and hand them 350 students to "teach." If you're talking to the group of students for an hour with no interaction, you're NOT teaching. You're just talking.

Plato was once nearly drowned in water a waterboarding-like act fashion by his teacher. The teacher asked him, "Do you want air to breath?" "How bad do you want to breathe?" "Are you ready to breathe??" With seconds before drowning to his death, Plato arose from the water to breathe air as if it was truly his last, and Plato realized who much he wanted if not NEEDED that air. His teacher was Socrates. And Socrates said, "When you seek my teachings, it MUST be as undisputedly desired so much, just as you wanted that breath of air to continue living. "The teacher will only teacher when the student is ready"

as a Ph.D student who has taught both as TA and Adjunct Prof. students' laziness is incredible, seriously our society needs to make its mind about the value and necessity of intellectual work. otherwise we will end up with an indistinct NFL mob
