Great video, of the Reading rail ramble, my dad fired the second locomotive, behind the 2124, think it's 2102,👍, so prod of dad a retired engineer from the Reading RR.I am his son.74 yrs old now.👍🤠☕

It would probably be 2100. 2102 was activated when 2124 was retired.

Great video's I grew up with the Reading, my dad was a career man RR man. He loved his job started out as a breakman then fireman, then retired from the Reading as an engineer, I am so proud of my dad, I get a lump in my throat when I see those T-1's and G-3's cause dad fired those locomotives, even though the T'1s had self stokers🤠👍🛤🚂🚃🚃

Excellent! The footage from 1937 was spot on. Polished locomotives and well dressed fans. Thanks for putting all this together and for the great sound effects.

Reading 2124 was really the first steam engine I remember hearing. My Uncle, a railfan himself, had a record called "Titans of the High Iron" that he would play when I came to visit. Still love that passenger whistle she carried! Thanks FM!

Thank you for these incredible historical videos. Reading Company was a class act, all the way!

FM, you my not know this, but I am a (medically) retired police officer. Your videos occasionally capture a glimmer of police history, in addition to the awesomess of railfanning. For example, her, we saw a Reading RR policeman (on the train, in the gondola), and an LVRR officer next to the small switcher. Very subtle differences. Awesome all round - another one knocked right out of the park!!!

To think this could or probably is gonna happen again with 2100 and 2102 is incredible. And seeing 2124 run in these videos is amazingly cool

Can you imagine riding the front deck of an N-2? WOW! More great stuff!
@fmnut4 жыл бұрын
It was an N-1, the Rdg didn't have an N-2 class. Also the photographer was in a gondola being shoved, not riding on the front deck. Thanks for watching.

Is that 2100 behind 2124 in the final shots?
@fmnut2 жыл бұрын
Yes. 2102 never ran with 2124. All double headers were 2100 and 2124 until 2124 was retired. After that they were 2100 and 2102.
