FM, this is your best yet! I swear I got chills as we heard the local RDG freight engines whistling as the Rambles went by. They were before my time, but I am eternally grateful that I grew up behind 2102 when she was with the BMandR. I watch these and remember fondly the cinders and the smoke, and my grandfather and grandmother, who would tell me the stories of old as we whisked along. Thank you for all that you do, my friend. The tears are of good memories, triggered by these videos, and the haunting Reading 6 chime that will forever live on my head and my heart.

Heard the recording "Titans of the High Iron" as a young boy. That introduced me to Reading T1 2124 and her beautiful Reading 6 chime whistle, (off a G3 Pacific.) Been a huge fan of both for the 60 odd yrs since! Really enjoyed watching this!

These are the engines that got me hooked on trains especially steam engines back in my early childhood. (early 60s) Love these videos. I am little boy again standing by the tracks in Northmont excited beyond belief watching the might T1s go by.

Very cleverly done mixing the recordings of the whistles in and out to create new sounds. Love the T-1's and the Rambles. I grew up when they were running. Great times! Many thanks for all that work.

Harold "Clemmy" Clevenstine man I remember him spent many many nights @ Temple & Royersford stations with him and his Lincoln! Plus many a 2102 trip with him as lead coach car host on the BM&R. Wow what a guy and he LOVED the Reading as much as I. Boy I miss him and Carol Keen too! When you got those two and Charlie Kachel together it was even better Reading Stories. I got to know Charlie's regular Conductor from the old days before he passed away in the late 2000s. Even move great stories and tales Charlie didn't talk a whole lot about. Sadly none of those guys were big fans of Ray Hamilton. Got to know Ray for awhile @ the BM&R. Not a single Reading man I new ever was a fan of Ray they all didn't like working with him. Another guy from the Reading shops I know who's still alive in his 90s really disliked Hamilton and still meets each week with The Reading Retirees at the management table or at least they still were before the Covid shutdown. Excellent video you've produced using lots of Allan Bottos and John Briggs recordings which Alan incidently owns. Wish I could get Alan to release all his Ramble recordings many of which are on board 2124 as well as 2101 going up Sandpatch with the Mics on the Tender!! But he won't do it claims not enough people like onboard recordings even though his best ever selling Album is On Time which is mostly on board recordings .......
