As someone who watches you a lot just wanted to say, I love that you talk a bit about your personal life/the cats and show us the bookish areas of your house, but I’m so glad you’re careful not to show too much or talk about where you live! I'm definitely careful! Just showing my view of my backyard stresses me out and I've had people comment that they knew where I was from when I showed more in vlogs :/ Heck I've had people watch IG stories of friends and recognize me and it stresses me :S I want to show more but the internet can be a lot lol

I just find it insensitive just because they share some parts of their private lifes doesnt mean you are entitled to it. I find it so odd how alot of people are agreeing that being a public person means you should be fine with loosing privacy even outside of what you do or post :/

…common sense it not as common as one would think. As much as we might enjoy seeing the “behind the scenes”, we aren’t the ones it puts at risk (privacy, etc). Do whatever makes you comfortable and affords you the privacy you seek. We’ll be just fine either way. 😊

You absolutely can connect the arcs to your kindle/ reader!! That's what I do because reading on the computer sounds so painful! You just need your amazon email/ account to connect it! I'd love a review of He Who Drowned the World or the duology because I'm debating getting special editions of the books (haven't read them...)

I just watched a vlog from a booktuber who loved She Who Became the Sun and can't wait to read the next one and just the fact that you struggle with it makes me reassured that it's fine if I don't like something. We're all allowed to have our personal tastes. Booktube is also teaching me that it's fine to have guilty pleasure books like the rather silly one I just finished reading.

Have you read Our Wives Under The Sea? I think you'll really like it. It feels like it belongs to the same class of books as I Who Have Never Known Men. For non-fiction I highly HIGHLY recommend Know My Name by Chanel Miller

I think you'll like Other Birds. It was an easy read but sort of cozy. You should try wadding up post it note type paper and letting Clawdia play catch with you. We had a cat that would jump up in the air and catch a wad of paper and bring it back to us to throw again. He would retrieve as long as you would throw it for him. He'd jump about 5 feet into the air to catch it.

I recently reread the Shades of Magic trilogy and I didn't love it like the first time. So the fact that you're like 'ehhh' on the POVs and old characters at the start helps me, cos it'll make me push through I think. It's interesting that one of the old characters can also see the threads of power. Makes me intrigued about the world building potential at least. :) I'm keen to enjoy Bookshops and Bonedust! November will be right upon us before we know it.

I really want to know your thoughts on Freida Mcfadden when you finally get around to picking up her books because for me her books have become great mystery/thriller popcorn reads as they aren't always the best written, with complex characters but she delivers on the mystery part, it's fast paced, short and gives me a good time 🤣

I absolutely love Doing Time, but it’s a spin off series so I’m not sure it’s the best place to start. If you do try this book or the original series which starts with Just One Damned Thing After Another I definitely recommend the audiobook

I'm so EXCITED for Bookshops & Bonedust! I'm also curious about VE Schwab & have a few of her stand-alones on my TBR. If I like them, I may start this series. Most of what I'm anticipating aren't new releases... just books being delivered to my house. I finally got around to reading some books I purchased back in 2016 or so, only to discover one of them is now the first book in a series (My Lady Jane) and I just giggled through the whole book. I looked forward to reading it every day, so I figured, might as well snag the next two in the series and see if it holds true for them, and if so, continue on. There's 5 in that style out now with a sixth, (the third of the Lady Marys) due out next year. I'm just getting into fantasy (or at least, that's what my mind keeps telling me, but goodreads keeps telling me otherwise) and cozy fantasy & romance light YA fantasy seem to really hold an appeal for me.

And on He Who Drowned the World (or whatever)...I didn't even realize there was going to be a sequel and I don't think I liked the first book enough to continue.

Cats love to jump on high shelves. Mine loved jumping on a fridge, untill we bought a taller one and she lost a teeth when jumping off of it. I'm not sure if i'm waiting for any new book right now. I have so many older ones to read.

It's a lip oil by Clarins, I think it was a limited edition collection but I looked and it seems similar to their color apricot!

Read No Exit. I recommend the audio, personally. It’s kind of predictable, but also not, and it’s kind of corny but in a good way. 10/10 should read. Loved it. Would I reread it? No. But the one read was good. LOL

Do you recommend the original darker shades of magic trilogy? I LOVE VE Schwabs villains duology and the invisible life of addie larue, but was hesitant since i’ve heard mixed reviews on Darker Shades from people. I generally love her writing though!

@@BookswithEmilyFox Whether you would enjoy the movie might depend on your usual level of vicarious embarrassment with movies rather than books. The two leads in the movie have great easy banter and really steamy chemistry together if that helps you decide. It's tasteful but very hot!

Re: books, I really want to read Men Who Hate Women, though I question whether I am strong enough!
