This reading my diary video is a little bit different than the other ones I’ve made before because it’s to celebrate my 14 YEARS of writing in a journal! In today’s video, I thought it would be super fun to read a journal entry for every year that I’ve been writing (starting at 6 years old and going allllll the way to 20 years old)!!❤️

There was a lot of good but also a lot of bad. A lot that I haven’t/won’t share online as well because it’s too hard to relive and too personal to share. I think I’ve mostly done a decent job at maintaining a positive outlook despite those dark times & hardships though. What I’ve shared online is only a fraction of it! But yes, I did have some true & real happiness in my childhood. Overall I was happy

Thanks for you little speech at the end about it’s never too late to start. I started semi-daily journaling almost a year ago and I’m still a bit sad I don’t have some earlier stuff. I’ve tried so many times to start a journal, but I always end up forgetting lol. A relative gave me a journal for my birthday and a whole bunch of pens so I guess that was what inspired me. 😊

i agree from when i was in middle school til now my journals have changed so much and i like how i try to write everything that i can down as much as i can and stick things in that go with my day so that i can remember where we went or what went with what iam writing about and putting pictures in there as well. how the types of journals that i use have changed as well

Hi 🙂 I started journaling at 8 years old. I do not daily journal, because for me that makes it feel far too much like a school assignment. I write in my journal regularly. I use 5 subject notebooks for journals. A full sized 5 subject notebook lasts me about a year. I have been journaling for close 30 years. I have not kept all of my journals. I used to throw them away. I did not save them until the end of 2009. My biggest problem with journaling is pens. I had such a struggle finding a good pen I gave up and switched to pencils. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my journal. It is the first thing I think about when I wake up and I take my journal everywhere with me. My journal is absolutely my best friend. Congratulations on 14 years!

I have notebooks and scraps of paper from over 30 years. It's so "cringe" to read some stuff, and a lot I purged and burned in my firepit. I was so excited for this!!! I’ve been journaling since October 7, 2019, but once Covid hit I lost all motivation.
