Are these 4-8-4 types? I would think that appears like union pacific 844

Reading 1200 is a 4-8-4 T-1 northern that’s started life as a 2-8-0 "Consolidation, it was rebuilt as a 4-8-4 in 1945.

Also no sound unlike the 8 mm films in projector

In 1963 sound was extremely rare on regular 8 mm. Sound became more common on Super8 film in the early 70s. They widened the frame and put a magnetic strip on the side of the films to record sound.
