The Pavilion Cinema was opened on 21 September 1929. It was closed in 1979, becoming a bingo hall, then a snooker hall. In April 2012, the Life Spring Church purchased the property, revived its original name, and restored much of the cinema’s original art nouveau styled interior.
Neville Hollands tells us about the restoration by the Life Spring Church and some of the new features introduced that pay homage to the building's heritage.
