Hey Benjie, AKA SLAYER OF THE LUCKY CRAFT! Great Session. Looking forward to more videos like this! Also if you don’t mind me asking, just had a question, what is your go-to socal beach to fish?

Thank you Benji good to see another the Great Piece of content you're sounding editing always top notch and I really appreciate out of all the channels angler channels that is you still provide us with the rig and all you use you even throw in high tide low tide temperatures and measurements appreciate that so much it's good to see that when you're a new angler like myself and that sand crab Lucky Craft I definitely know that's going to work up here in Monterey thank you

What do you think about throwing a floating jerkbait 1-3ft in the surf instead of a lucky craft?
@BenjieKimFishing2 ай бұрын
LC actually has plenty of floating options. The LC110 flash minnow is a suspending 1 to 2 ft diver tho so I believe that would technically come very close to your suggestion. At the end of the day tho it's about fishing the proper lure at the proper water column.
Hi Benjie are using a leather or just direct to the main line thanks much
@BenjieKimFishing3 ай бұрын
Hi there, currently I use 17 lb opsin fluorocarbon leader tied directly to 15 or 20 lb braid depending on the reel I’m using. Tight lines 🤙

Do i need to cast far when surf fishing? Any tips on casting with the Lucky Craft b/c where i fish it is always windy and the light lure does not go very far? New to fishing so looking for any tips since basically im only reaching shallow water lol
@BenjieKimFishing4 ай бұрын
It really depends on where you’re fishing. Sometimes you want distance and other times you can catch up close. Unfortunately wind can def affect casting the LC. The LC130 or 150 might be better options in that case. I did make a “how to cast the LC” vid a couple months ago, might be helpful for ya. Tight lines!

Very good details about reading the surf. How do you like the long butt on that rod?
@BenjieKimFishing4 ай бұрын
Thanks Ron. At first I didn’t like it. But I actually got used to it and now it feels normal. If I had my h choice, I’d maybe have it be 4 inches shorter but I actually appreciate being able to have better leverage for casting.
