It's so sad that we don't have more kind humans like this. You are such an amazing person Dan. I have been watching you two for years and the amount of sacrifices and lovethat you have given to this guy doesn't go unnoticed. For those watching that maybe don't have pets, its not easy. I have 4 dogs, 2 cats, a chicken, and 2 horses (we live on 2 acres and they are all rescued) and its a full time job. I don't get to travel much anymore or do other things that I would like to do because they are like having kids that never grow up (I wouldn't change it for the world though). They all require so much work and Cockatoos require an INSANE amount of work and sacrifice to keep them happy and sane. Dan saved Max, I don't think he would have made it without him. Dan puts Max first and it shows. You are an incredible human Mr. Dan and we def need more human beings like you in this world.....the world seems to lack love and empathy quite often which is something you have in spades.

I can't get over how intelligent this bird is. Birds in general are so intelligent. But particularly cockatoos. I think people forget that birds existed millions of years before we did. They are prehistoric. They have evolved for a much longer period of time than us. I guarantee you they use a much larger percent of their brain than we do, despite how small their brains are in comparison to ours. I have learned that we only use 10% of our brains. It is obvious to me that these birds are intelligent beyond measure. It's just a joy to watch you treating an animal the way it deserves to be treated. He is a treasure and so are you!

Hii Max and hello Dan and "miauw" to Dusty ! Isn't this a fantastic treat again, Dan, you reading a book to Max - a treat not only for Max! It had been quite a while, since you've done this. Whenever you do that, Dan, I need 3 views of the video : (for starters) 1/ to watch every reaction of Max... In my opinion, he was interested a lot! He obviously liked all the voices you were giving to the different animals in the book! Not a peep out of him! He hangs onto you lips! He was really looking at the colourful drawings of the animals in the book, too. 2/ to watch all your actions, Dan...( wearing glasses suits you, by the way) Good idea, switching sides to the camera by turning the chair. It helped Max keeping attention. When you asked Max if he was going to read to you, Max dropped the book, like " YOU read it again Daddy! I loved it! And after all that... 3/ I actually listen to the story ... 😉😊 And it was a happy story! I could imagine this story being retold with nosy Max meeting all the animals that were coming to visit in the yard... wouldn't that be amusing... squirrels and fish were already there! I so enjoyed this video! Thank you, Dan! Have a cosy Saturday evening, you 3 guys! Would Dusty be interested in the story, too?
