Hello Ivan, I am applying for Harvard Data science Ms this year. They require SOP as well as personal statement . Any idea or tips how to approach this type of personal statement?

The personal statement is about your background and how those experiences have shaped your career goals and academic interests. I would focus it on diversity equity and inclusion and how you advance that through your previous experiences.

What GPA is more important when applying to phd? Masters or undergraduate gpa?

I would say the undergraduate major because it’s a requirement that you have at least a 3.0. It’s expected that people with Masters have high GPAs.
