Oathbringer is my absolute favorite book in the series because of Dalinar. His story is incredible and "you cannot have my pain" lives in my heart. I cried so hard reading that part. I met Sanderson at a con last year and had him sign my first edition copy of Oathbringer. It's my prized possession.

I loved it as I do the whole series, but my favorite is Word of Radiance.... Shallan's story is the best for me. Who is her real self. That's what I'm still wondering about myself sometimes, so I relate to it so much. I was crying, too, during that "you can't have my pain"... bawling into my pillow at 3AM in the morning. xD

I’m about 60 pages into Rhythm of War and it’s been years since I finished Oathbringer, so I kind of forgot some details about plot, characters, etc… That said? Part of the genius of Brandon Sanderson is that it doesn’t really matter - he drops you right back into the story with little flashbacks and reminders of what happened previously, so it’s not hard to get back into this world. Loving your content, keep up the great work! Can’t wait for Wind and Truth too! 🎉

I got rhythm of war back in 2020, but I was a senior in high school and was kinda busy with that so I never got around to reading it. I just went out and bought my copy of wind and truth (a day before its release because target is goofy) and I’m only on WoR with my reread. It’s gonna be a long winter break (but totally worth it)

This is nostalgic watching you read through a series I did the same for 2 years ago. Also my advice would be take a break if you feel burned out these books are long and it will be a better experience if you feel you need a break. Even if you don’t start wind and truth as early as some others it’s better having time to digest the books.
@PeterOlszewski8 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for the advice. I really appreciate it. I’m currently finishing up rhythm of war right now but I plan on taking my time with wind and truth and not burn through it. It’s not everyday a Stormlight book releases so I want to save the moment a bit.

I enjoyed the poppy war but I think I was kinda of burnt out with the academia fantasy book because I had just read Fourth wing before it. So sadly, I never gave the dragon republic a try.
