That American Queen stock photo on the cover has been used sooooo many times for book covers. It was used for the spanish edition of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. And a year before that for another book I can’t remember but it was in b&w.

I have always felt that not all books need to be read for intellectual or "big picture" purposes. A lot of people see sci-fi and fantasy as the escapism genres, but I think there is a lot to be said for a fun, mindless read.

I personally loved Den of Vipers but it’s definitely not for everyone. It doesn’t have a plot like at all really, but if you are looking for just a book filled with dirty, dark smutty scenes then it’s a book for you

Book rec: A King So Cold by Ella Fields. 3.5/5 🔥 in my opinion. (I don't recommend the second book (too happy of an ending, the whole concept seems to cliche)) but the idea behind the book is really good. The main character is the queen, who stops her husband's wedding (there's lots of stuff there but that's spoiler) and decides to retell all of their romantic journey so that he'll remember her.

Loved your review of Madison Kate by Tate James although I will say to definitely keep reading! The series evolves drastically from the first book to the last. It starts good and enjoyable and then turns absolutely mind blowingly good! If you liked the first one then you will LOVE the last one.

I read King Of The South after seeing it on your Goodreads and had really mixed feelings about the first half but enjoyed the second half! BUT found out it is a kind of sequel to The Surviving Time series which I then read and I'd HIGHLY reccomend. Think you'd really like those... they also make King of The South make so much more sense 😅

So I’m not really a fan of RH, but I did read this book on a whim a while back. I didn’t realize it was a RH when I began the book, but it became apparent towards the ending of the first one. It’s called “the secret girl” by CM Stunich. I surprisingly enjoyed the book. I liked the plot and most of the MCs, and I feel like it could’ve been successful had the book kept on track throughout the trilogy. Unfortunately, I only really enjoyed the first one; nonetheless, I would recommend it. (Mostly because I would want to see your review on it)

Hi- About King of the South, have you read the Surviving Trace first? :) King of the South is the spin-off of the main series about Étienne and Serene's story. So that's probably why you felt like you missed something about the story :) The characters are already introduced in the main series so you have more details about them and their lives in the Surviving Trace :)

Surviving Trace started as a 4 star book and then turned into a 2 star one. 😔 The second half is soooo slow and boring that I almost DNF‘d it. So, now I am avoiding all of the author‘s book. 😅 And I wouldn‘t recommend ST to anyone.
