hey katie! i've never read the veronica speedwell books, but i know vaguely what they're about, and if you like them you might also like the sally lockhart quartet by philip pullman. the serieses seem really (slightly supiciously) similar, they are both: -set in the 1800s -set in london -follow orphaned young women who solve mysteries, with some romance also, the first sally lockhart book was released in 1985 (30 years before the first veronica speedwell one) and the main character sally is literally called veronica by a relative multiple times. so, you'll probably like them too lmao

I just got done reading Kingdom of the Wicked and gave it a four star. I am just starting Clockwork Angel and I'm excited to be introduced to new characters in the Shadowhunter series and after watching this video kinda scared to get to Clockwork Princess. I just finished Throne of Glass a couple days ago 😍 I read Assassin’s Blade before that and I think that really made a difference in my enjoyment of Throne of Glass. I'm currently re-listening to The Lost Apothecary and honestly it's what I need right now. I love the cover, all 3 povs, and I'm usually not a historical fiction person but the way it ties together past and present are amazing. Also I loved Legennds and Lattes for the vibes, I also don't like the taste of coffee but I do like the smell so I could relate some. And I now have the urge to reorganize my shelf but my husband said my bday present is going to be him making me built in bookshelves so I think I should wait for that.....mayeb

@katie is reading I would definitely recommend the lost apothecary. Present finds something from the past in London and goes into research mode. Past has 2 povs about the hidden apothecary that dispenses remedies for woman's maledies...including the men in their lives. Also the audio is great because the 3 distinct voices add to the vibes.

Honestly Warbreaker has the most confusing magic system of all the Sanderson books I've read, so I totally get your struggle lol. I think it's one of the issues of the book, tbh, but it's still a fun ride. Congrats on 40k, btw!
