I was thinking that Rhys is different in this book because it’s from Nesta’s Pov, she perceives him differently to Feyre and the two of them don’t really get along which is why it makes sense that she sees him as an asshole. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Although, I do agree he wasn’t nearly as likeable in this book

You have to remember that this book is in Nesta's Pov so naturally she's the one who hate the fae first. For me, Rhys's actions all based on his love to Feyre and Nyx. And Nesta treated Feyre so bad just because she felt like a failure. This book literally just to show how Nesta is changing and healing her trauma. And this book also in my fav no 2 from ACOTAR series. Love it.

i have to say, rhysand being mean thing. was valid asf. nesta took advantage of everyone’s kindness and also, her mental health isn’t an excuse to treat everyone the way she did. does it make her a bad person? absolutely not. she wrote her wrongs and i think it happened the way it was suppose to

I got to be honest if I was Rhys I would be mean to Nesta too. You made my partner suffer for yearsss due to her entitlement & laziness & to top it off she was so mean!! And she comes to the night court and she continues to be mean and mooch off of Rhysand and Feyre. With that said I’m glad Nesta had this character development because before she was insufferable 😩
@mekaelacooper_
@mekaelacooper_ Жыл бұрын
yessss, she was so insufferable and i really tried to give her the benefit of the doubt bc we all struggle with mental illness and yes it super tricky and completely complicated but the fact that she ACKNOWLEDGED the way she was acting and still continued to do so on SO many occasions and still continued to cross the line no matter how much she seemed to regret it really threw the book off for me like halfway through the book, but it definitely drew me in toward the second half of the book. and as far as rhys, he had no obligation to be cordial with her in the first place bc of what she did to feyre. feyre had tried on MANY occasions to make her feel welcomed despite the circumstances and she COMPLETELY shit on her, rhys, and elaine, or really anybody she could set her sights on. so i say ryhs reacted WAY better than i would have. rant over lol

I'm also on Rhys side, though I admit it was bad not to tell her about the pregnancy threat. 🤔 At the same time I think he might have after some time. I don't think he kept the information that long and I think she was quite far gone in her pregnancy when they discovered the wings too, too far for a safe termination anyway (which I think Feyra had refused to do anyway). If she had tried an abortion, it would probably be the type when she has to birth it out, and that would have given the same result. ...I wonder if Nesta's explosion of power (that even rattled the day court) at the blood rite made Feyra go into early labour since she was so sensitive to magic at that time.

A lot of other people have said the same thing, but I’ll add: Rhys annoyed me when I first started reading this, but we also see NONE of Rhys POV in this book. Rhys has access to Feyre’s memories and past with Nesta, and not seeing their conversations surrounding what is happening to Nesta definitely reminds me that there’s more to the story. Nesta is the epitome of unreliable narrator. But that’s also why loved this book so much - love me a flawed girl dealing with her PTSD.

It frustrates me a lot that there is so much stuff happening off page that I really wanted to experience. I sort of hope that we would get a book with several P.O.V's happening parallel to this book. Rhys hunting for information in different court's on how to save Feyra and them dealing with their emotions about the situation, and what Morigan and Lucian is up to. So much stuff I wanted to know.

very late but i just finished this book today and katie you have every right to not like rhysand as much after this book. i never was obsessed with rhysand like everyone else was because he was just too perfect to me like even when he lied to feyre in acomaf and acowar he always had an excuse but I definitely did not like him not telling feyre that she could potentially die in childbirth because he took away here freedom of making a decision of terminating or continuing the pregnancy. i did enjoy the heartfelt moment between him and nesta at the end of acosf but I hated how he treated nesta so bad and he's an okay character to me now. definitely not as great as my baby cassian

Rhysand is all about protecting Feyra. He is the one witnesses the affect the nasty things Nesta says have on Feyra. It is easy to understand why Nesta behaves the way she does but that does not justify the things she says or stop her words from hurting those around her.

I’ve just finished this series today, and I totally agree with you about Rhys. It’s so conflicting because ACOMAF is still carrying my love for him on its back, but he was so extra in this book. I didn’t mind at first because I figured him and Nesta would have a change of heart for each other, but it took so long to get them to a decent place 😭🤣 It’s been such an emotional rollercoaster these last several weeks lol. I will definitely re-reading acomaf soon 😂

@@cindycristobal8738 😂😂 you’re definitely not alone in the fandom. But I do think Silver Flames is worth giving a try (even if it’s just to get all those details that will come to play in future books 👀). I personally enjoyed it despite a few criticisms. That being said, I was always curious about Nesta. I didn’t like she treated my girl Feyre, but I figured there might be more than meets the eye and I wanted to see her become better.

SPOILERS BEWARE!!!! ACOSF is my favourite book from the ACOTAR world because Nessian. I love them with all I am and Cassian is, for me, the better male. I love Rhys but this book broke my heart for him. Like, dude, his actions towards Nesta and Feyre... it was an instant no from me. It is true that we have seen Rhys from the pov of people who love him and respect him and have known him for a while, and now seeing him through Nesta's eyes is shocking because we already have had this idea of him painted on our minds. I still love him because ACOMAF is a master piece and I always will love Rhys from there, but still, it hurts. There are so many things that I loved about this book, the Valkyries reborn, other character's journeys and background stories, and of course Nesta's development. I love her, she has always been my favourite and I love that now she is getting the love and recognition she is due. Would love to know your thoughts on anything else! It's been a year since I read the book but I still want to talk about it with anyone who loves it as much as well. Love your content!

acosf is literally so close to being my fav of the series i swear😫 i also agree that cassian is the better male… rhys pissed me off so much in this book there’s not even a competition anymore, but i also keep thinking about how much i adore acomaf and it makes me reevaluate, it’s just complicated now😔 but i am so glad that we finally got this insight into nesta’s personality because i love her now too!! i wasn’t a huge fan in the originally trilogy but that’s definitely just the lack of page time / seeing her through feyres pov, i love that you’re still so excited to talk about this book a year later haha!! i will also be talking about this book for a WHILE haha, and thank you so much!!
