Smegging great review! I loved the series as a kid, and I read the first two books back then too. I wish I hadn't got rid of my paperbacks now, I suddenly want to reread them! If you haven't already read Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books, I highly recommend them. Classic comedic sci-fi. It predates Red Dwarf by about a decade, and was definitely an influence.

It took forever to get the collection from charity shops but it felt right to have the old, well loved, paperbacks I love Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series! You're right, I can totally see the influence! It's just so fun and the characters are all just so good. I think I need to reread it again soon, it's been such a long time 💕
