I acc live in Scotland. If your planning to go to Edinburgh I would recommend going to the harry potter places there, Edinburgh Castle, the Edinburgh vaults, and maybe the Edinburgh dungeons. There's a beautiful little village called Linlithgow where there's a burnt out Palace called Linlithgow Palace where Mary Queen of Scott's lived whilst she was hiding from Queen Elizabeth the first "people" which were hunting her down. So that's my little guide of recommendation x

I live in Glasgow!! and as a foreigner living here I can give you a few cool things to visit. I would say a must do is the botanical gardens, the Glasgow university and the kelvingrove park. Kember and jones is a great cafe in that area, also papercup ( amazing for coffee) . Restaurants in the area that are cool are Hanoi ( vietnamese food) Babs in the city centre ( Mediterranean food) Stereo ( vegan ) , the brew dog bars , it's a local brewery and they also serve amazing food. The waterstones in sauchihall st. Is one of my fav chain bookstores and caledonian books one of the best second hand bookstores in Glasgow. In Inverness you should definitely visit the bookstore that it's in a church, it's gorgeous. I would also recommend going to the harry potter bridge by train, doing some natural locations such as loch lomond, and maybe taking one of the distillery tours, my favourite ones are Oban and Arran. ( talisker is the famous one but not too good) . Let me know if you want more details, cafes, etc. Enjoy!!!

When you’re in the Isle of Skye, stop in the small town of Portree. They have a few adorable book shops and there’s a really good and slightly hidden fish and chips shop right next to one of them that had the best fish I’ve ever had. Also, try to do the ferry at Loch Ness Castle. It was really fun. The highlands were my favorite part of our tour last year. The Ballachulish Hotel was a Potterheads DREAM! There isn’t a lot around the hotel but it’s so cozy and feels so old and historic. There’s just so much gorgeous scenery to see, and driving through the snowy mountains where it feels like you’ve stepped into Narnia was a memory I’ll never forget. You guys are going to love it!

Hey Regan, I live in Glasgow and it's definitely worth spending half a day here but not much more than that. The one thing that is A MUST for Glasgow is the main building of Glasgow university. There is a museum inside so its open to the public and you can just walk inside the campus and the building looks JUST LIKE Hogwarts. It's the most beautiful university I have ever seen. So if you only see one thing in Glasgow, it should be that

Scotland is my alltime favourite country!! I would reccommend the Jacobite Train in in Fort William (then you can experience the ride to Hogwarts over the famous bridge in a train itself)! - This is probably half a day trip. And if you wanna do more Harry Potter related stuff I also really liked the Walking Tour in Edinburgh, which is also for free! Doune Castle is good for Outlander and Game of Thrones fans, because scenes from both series were filmed in it 😍

I live in Scotland (highlands) Glasgow is the best there is a good restaurant called vapianos. Also while in scotland you must try a deep fried mars bar - scottish delicacy. Edinburgh is the best! You can go to the elephant House cafe which is where jk rowling wrote Harry Potter. Also on princes street go to the waterstones bookstore!!

I went to Scotland last summer and did the same loop! You'll have a great time! Glencoe was stunning. :) I also really liked Portree, the Old Man of Storr, Eilean Conan Castle (used for filming GoT-Winterfell and Outlander) and the Glenfinnan Viaduct (you can see the train go across, made famous from the HP movies). The lochs are pretty, too, and the hairy coos are so cute. And Edinburgh has a tooon of HP-related places (Victoria Street, Spoon, Elephant House, the cemetery...). They have HP walking tours for diehard fans, too, haha. I did the dark history walking tour by Sandemann's and really enjoyed hearing about its past. So much more to love, too! I loved the whole city. Take a little trek up to King Arthur's Seat if the weather is nice. 💕

Alicia Croft I’ve been there and it’s really not worth it, packed with tourists who just want to take a picture and leave, much better to visit the inspiration for diagon alley - the shambles in York (I think), so much cooler!!!

Omg im from scotland! You're gonna love it! Definitely spend 1/2 a day in glasgow at least! You'll love edinburgh its very harry potter feels. Skye is gorgeous! I also recommend you go past doune and see the castle there especially because you have mentioned monty python before and it was filmed there!

I did a roadtrip around Scotland this summer and my favorite was Eilean Donan castle and Kilchurn castle. But I also recommend stopping at smaller and “unknown” towns. That’s where you find the little gems! Oh and also definitely drive through the highlands! It’s amazing, you’ll feel like you’re in lord of the rings.❤️

When you're in Edinburgh, you definitely have to do the Mary King's Close tour! That was amazing! Walking through old Edinburgh overall is beautiful! Almost anywhere you visit has beautiful scenery and you will take endless photos! Scottish mac and cheese is also THE BEST!

I’m from Glasgow, most people when they visit go to Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, Glasgow University, The Necropolis or The Botanic Gardens. In Edinburgh you could visit the Castle, have lunch in The Elephant House (where JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter), visit Mary King’s Close in the Old Town under the Royal Mile or go on a ghost tour or the Dungeon tour. There’s lots of tours from Edinburgh to Glen Coe (you could visit Stirling Castle on the way) and onto Inverness which has Urquhart Castle, Culloden and Clava Cairns and if you are travelling to Skye don’t miss Eilean Donan Castle at the Kyle of Lochalsh which is just before the Skye Bridge. Skye has fairy pools, Dunvegan Castle and Portree. When travelling back from Skye to the mainland I always stop off at Fort William and visit Glenfinnan ( you can see the Harry Potter steam train going over the viaduct) and the Glenfinnan Monument. Basically there’s tonnes of places to visit but just bring clothes for all weathers!

You should visit St Andrews while you're in Scotland, 15 mins away from it is the Scottish Deer centre where you can hand feed deers, see Scottish wild cats, otters and wolves. The beach is lovely at St Andrews, if you're into the royal family it is where Will and Kate went to uni, they have a great ice cream shop called Jannettas, they have over 50 flavours. There's also an aquarium, but you can usually see the seals from the path . There's a nice coastal path nearby that goes through Anstruther where there is a really good fish and chips shop.

I’m Scottish and live in Aberdeen (the north east) and I’m so excited for you guys!! Skye is beautiful, there are so many hidden gems around the island. There’s an amazing little bakery in Dunvegan in Skye called Jan’s and it’s got great cake! On your way to Skye you could stop at Eileen Donan castle, it’s like classic Scottish castle vibes. Loch Brittle is gorgeous and there’s loads of beautiful locations like the faerie pools and beaches where you can find the tiniest, most ornate little seashells. Also, if you’re driving up from Edinburgh opposed to getting the train you should stop at Dunnottar castle. It’s this beautiful landscape on the east coast in Aberdeenshire (which you’d drive through before getting north/northwest to Skye) and it’s on a cliff edge at this beautiful beach and it’s a set of castle ruins. It’s awesome! The town of Stonehaven is beautiful too. Also, Loch Lomond near Glasgow is a much nicer Loch to visit and go on a boat ride on than Loch Ness (which you’d probably pass on the way to Skye), but both are great! Scotland is a beautiful place to explore.😊 Also (sorry- this is majorly long) Edinburgh has some incredible bookshops in the city centre. There’s a street just off the Royal Mile which partially inspired Diagon Alley, and there’s a lovely Harry Potter shop on that street. There’s just some awesome independent bookshops in the area and they’ve all got something so whimsical about them. 😊 If you go to Inverness, Leakey’s bookshop is stunning. It’s a giant secondhand bookshop that’s in an old church and so still has stained glass windows etc. It’s beautiful and is teeming with books, gives a very Beauty and the Beast library vibe. Whatever you guys do, I hope you have an awesome time!!😊

I’m from Inverness, Scotland!! You’ll love it here! It’s a little bit out of your way but I would recommend going to Loch Ness to try see Nessie. The Isle of Skye is beautiful! I would also recommend going to see Fairy glen and the Fairy pools in Skye. If you get good weather are some lovely coastal/beach walks all across Scotland.

Since you like middle grade and young adult, you should totally read the Bloody Jack series by L.A. Meyer. The first book is Bloody Jack, it's a quick read and they are hilarious! It's about a girl who decides to pass as a boy and join the navy during like the 17th/18th centuries. I have never had so much fun with a book series. I rate then higher than Harry Potter, not in quality, but in feeling. They just made my heart so happy and my face crack with laughter. Love your reading vlogs!! Thanks for the content!

My sister used to live in Aberdeen, Scotland! A great place to get souvenirs from Isle of Skye is Love from Skye. They make jewelry that looks like the island and things like that. I also recommend going to the Faerie Glenn on your way to Skye it is really pretty for walks.

Hey Regan, I studied in Scotland for a little while. Besides the staples of Inverness (which has an amazing book shop at Leakey's Bookshop) Arbroath is a really cool, sleepy fishing village that has the best fish and chips at Marco's on the Shore. Also, spend as much time as possible in Edinburgh. There is so much history and stuff to do.

You should go to Fort William and see the actual physical train they used in the Harry Potter films for the Hogwarts express. And Loch Ness and Inverness itself is just magical!

Im only 10 mins in but have to comment already! First, the skirt looks great, keep it. Second, I live in Scotland and am super excited for you to see it!! You can do the NC 500 which is a dedicated trip round the north west - it doesn't include the islands but you could always stop off there. Glasgow is the biggest city so I would recommend staying there for the day before moving on and I also suggest spending a night in Fort Augustus. Its a small town where you can do a Loch Ness tour and it's beautiful with a really nice local pub which I also recommend, also lots of nice places to walk.

Went to Scotland last summer, ADORED it!!!! I hope you have a nice trip. You should really visit Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh if you’re into light hiking and maybe stay in Glencoe a bit longer because it is STUNNING. And definitely eat the fudge. Some smaller towns between Inverness and Edinburgh have great pastries, pies and ice cream. Also, if you vlog Isle of Skye I might legit cry cause I want to go there soo bad😂🙌🏻

I study in Glasgow and it's an amazing city to be in! They main tourist attractions are the university of glasgow, which is known for looking like Hogwarts, and the museums, but honestly it's a fun city to be in, especially because the people are super friendly!

You should defo visit Oban when you go to Scotland it’s really cute and has access to a lot of islands!

Regans’ reading vlogs yaaay .. im currently in book.2 of Keeper of the lost and its crazy!! I already have book 3 & wasn’t sure if i should order 4 or 4&5 but now hearing what you said .. i will be safe and buy both hahahaha .. i also want the dragons book cause i love all things dragons *.*
