I found this channel about two months ago, and literally have almost binged every single video. Your video posts are the highlight of my Sunday. And because of this channel, I am seriously considering moving abroad, which is been a dream of mine forever. I love that you and I have the same Rocko’s modern life shirt! 🥰

As a born and raised Michigander, I will always be Team Cran! So proud of you for living such an "Alive!" life while continuing to deal with chronic pain. My daughter has fibromyalgia so I have seen the struggle firsthand. I found you through your Bo Burnham video when you had around 13K subscribers and you became one of my two favorite KZbinrs (Drew Monson being the other, with his raw, but very funny, monologues concerning life, depression, anxiety, etc.) It's been such a delight to see your list of Patreon patrons grow along with this channel. Thanks for being so authentically *you*.

13:02 unfortunate how common/relatable that is. I know people mean well, but it sucks when they give random unsolicited advice, especially when it's something that youve obviously probably tried already. One time someone suggested that I set alarms for the morning to help with my trouble waking up (and going to sleep) on time. Like umm, hellooo, I already have TWO, sometimes THREE alarms set for the morning 🙃

I don’t know how you did it, but you reminded me that there is more to reading than just reading. I couldn’t just read a book and absorb the story and characters and themes and overall lessons it was trying to teach me, until I found your videos and you reminded me how. I’m very grateful that I have found your content.

I'm sure I've commented something in the past but I really would like you to know how much you mean to me as a chronically ill person. Also you just seem cool as hell and your book recs are bananas good

Based on the description of Dogs of Summer, I really think you would LOVE My Brilliant Friend (aka Elena Ferrante’s Neopolitan novels). At the center we have an incredibly complex, dynamic female friendship that spans from childhood in a poor Naples neighborhood to late middle age. It is simultaneously a slice of life for these characters while existing in the bigger world of Italy as the politics and climate dramatically shift in the second half of the 20th century.

My freezer is now full of popsicles cause I found them in my local lidl! Some other things had to go, though 😅 That's my first comment on one of your videos but I've been tuning in regularly for a while now and it's my favourite weekly ritual ❤ I even went to Belgium for a city break because in your vlogs it's such a chill place to be (hello, tourism ministry? Someone's doing your job for you). And I found some awesome bookshops in Ghent where they had a nice selection of books in English and even displayed a few books you recommended (maybe they tune in as well 😁). I'm sure you have the bookshop map covered pretty well buuut in case you haven't been there yet I think you'd enjoy 1) Paard van Troje and 2) Limerick. Aah, it was so nice in Ghent now I want to move there 😅 Anyway, lots of love from Poland, thank you for the amazing work that you do and keep being awesome ❤❤❤

Hey Allison! I truly appreciate your openness with your migraine struggle. The way you frame it as a chronic illness has really changed the way I approach my own migraines and health overall. Not here to give medical advise! Just wanted to say that I'm sorry you're having such a crappy time with the migraines. I started getting migraines a little over a year ago. Last February they got so bad that I had two attacks every week. By the time April rolled around, I started getting attacks that lasted WEEKS! I couldn't do anything for such a long time. And now finally, two and a half weeks ago I started new medication and I haven't had a single attack since! Not here to tell you what to take or what to do. Just here to let you know that there is something out there that will help relieve the pain. It will get better. And you will get through this. Sending you so much love and well wishes

I found your channel recently, within the past few months, and loved your authenticity and love for life even when that life may not be the perfect easy-going thing a person may dream of.
