One of the best explanations of steam tables. ever.

THIS VIDEO CHANGED MY LIFE!!! I am less than 6 hours away from taking my thermo final exam but this is the first time I have thought the tables were simple. I have looked at the, like a foreign language for this ENTIRE SEMESTER and now I know what to do. I am so happy, I can sleep now!

so my problem is that I have 125 C & 750kPa (.75MPa) for H2O so i go to the saturation water to find 125C but the pressure is too low. So i go to the saturation table for pressure and the temperature is almost double. What do i do now?

Excellent work.Can you please do another example with a subcooled scenario? I thought the second example would be subcooled though :(

thought so as well seeing that the pressure was below the saturation point

Can someone solve this question? Do I need to refer steam table to find the value of specific heat, specific latent heat & specific heat of steam as those information are not given? The question are as follows... "Determine the amount of heat needed to completely transform 1 g of water at 15°C to steam at 115°C".

When do you know when to look at temperature vs pressure table. That is very confusing. Especially when given both?
@ProfKnutsen2 жыл бұрын
choose whichever you like... if you know temperature, and the value is listed on the temperature row, it's easier than interpolating. Similarly for pressure.

Lucy Charamara-Stamataki you can find these spescific tables in the end of this book (pages: from 890 to 899) "Thermodynamics An Engineering Approach 5th Edition" drive.google.com/file/d/0B9JtpWUzKcwkbGdLd3hTQkdSck0/edit
