Why are there only 1.5 million views?!?! That's a crime! Songs like these make me love being black b/c this life just hits different. Our music, our ways, our creativity. This song was definitely not age-appropriate for me (I was 13 in 1991) but DAMN them keyboards! I knew I was hearing something special and soulful. Honestly, the sexual aspect isn't what grabs me the most; it's really the nostalgia. That said, the song had me thinkin sex was this HUGE competition and the most important factor in a relationship. The bragging swagger Melvin had to say it's ok for his girl to hop on another pole and then HE'D TAKE HER BACK was mind-blowing to me (it still is, RT!) He be like, "...can he do it? Cuz if he can't, you may as well come back home." Video is a lil greasy, but hey, it was the 90's. I think Melvin's solo song "Whose Is it?" is the direct sequel to this song.
