I think Daniel was scared to begin relationship with any woman, so he was lack of flirt skils. The first woman he ever gave a hint of "interest" was his wife who marry to him without any question. Because she was a golddigger. Grace appeared in Daniels life as a ray of light and he fell in love with her. His awkward behavior leads Grace to think that Daniel is some kind of freak who tries to hitting on her. Such a shame that they couldn't be together.

The movie would have been so much better if they had found a way around the curse like Grace taking off her wedding ring at the end and throwing it only for Daniel to pick it up and propose. Therefore possibly giving him and only him with Grace a second chance to play the game and end up together 🖤

There’s a couple ideas I would’ve used and changed about the ending. * I think they shouldn’t have had Alex betray Grace. It would’ve been cool if Alex and Grace teamed up and worked together as husband and wife to take down the rest of the family before dawn. After that, they would take Daniel’s body and have a small funeral for him. * Another idea that i would’ve done, is have Daniel survive so he could help Alex and Grace take down the rest of the family * Maybe have Grace and Alex get captured by the family and have both of them tied to the table and both of them would be sacrificed. Then Dawn comes, and the rest of the family explodes into blood like in the movie. Then, when Alex and Grace are about to walk out of the house, Alex stops and says something like “I just realized something, I’m still part of the family too” and he explodes into blood as well. It might just be my opinion, but i feel like one of those endings would made the movie’s ending 10x more satisfying

even though i see where you're coming from and in different circumstances I probably would've liked this outcome, your ending doesn't have much sense character and story-wise. Alex became THE villain the moment he proposed to Grace without letting her know what it entails. if he had lived, it would've undermined the entire message of the movie which is - don't be a lying, egotistical scumbag
