Yeah but then you get devs that promise a lot & then don't deliver on those promises. I'm not saying Void would do that but I'd rather have updates come periodically & be shown in a more complete state so you know that you will be getting them.

I'm not saying that the RoN devs need to communicate about everything they're working on because, yes, that's how you can create false promises. Instead they can do what the GHPC devs do, for example, where they host a bi-monthly developer streams to talk about things they're working on while avoiding talking about content that may or may not be added within the game, to avoid false promises. I'm not saying that there needs to be more updates either, since I'm fine with waiting, the issue is waiting with absolutely zero word from the developers on what they're doing. Like, bring back Bi-weekly newsletters, show more mini-dev updates, just more words from the developers so we aren't in the dark.

@@crusader_wolf1104 It's really challenging to do that though, specifically the "avoiding talking about content that may or may not be added" part. There are features that they probably wanted to see in the game but they couldn't get it to work at the end of the day because, for example, it broke the entire game. A more effort has to go into there part because of that. They'd just rather be safe than sorry that they couldn't get something to work.

@@itzkhronical That's why you don't mention you are creating something before you begin working on something, you mention it once you have it in it's final stages of development and know it'll work in the game. And even if large features take a while to be talked about you can still discuss things you are working on overall, and like I said, the Gunner HEAT PC developers do a good job on communicating their progress and current state of development and I feel like the RoN devs could do something similar.

@Mike Kane I think that the game selling a lot more than "expected" pushed the release because I assume that them receiving a lot of money changed how they want to do things after recruting a lot of people to work with the game. They were often criticized for their "perfectionism" and wanting to rework everything to be perfect before 1.0 hits especially with things that take time to make (rework suspect and now swat A.I/ making maps and other things we're not aware of yet). Why do you think that early access is profitable for them? I think it's kind of the opposite since there are people that will want to buy the game only when it'll release with more content and hopefully less bugs (the game can be considered pretty expensive for an early access already)

@@kestrelzer kinda similar to Escape From Tarkov, it was only meant to be a ramp for BSG's Russia 2028 project to get enough budget into development, but EFT sold alot more than expected, now having to maintain it and add more stuff and fix all the stuff

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but I've gotta say I'm very disappointed with this Q&A, and after waiting so long and with no news about it. It's insanely ironic that the Q&A was done on the 22nd of April and we're just getting the video now on the 8th of May. And while we were waiting, not a single word on its status or release anywhere. In this Q&A, no mention on the progress or design philosophy with the SWAT AI rework, or the Pre-Mission planning. I'm also sorry to say I *was* expecting more solid news on the release of the new update. On the last Q&A, the devs said they got the message loud and clear that they should communicate more and release updates more reguarly without such a long wait, and I was hoping they'd see this Q&A as the perfect opportunity to announce when this new update was coming out after we've already waited quite a bit since the ADAM Update. Don't get me wrong, absolutely do take your time in developing the game, but maybe work on 1 or 2 things at a time so we can have more frequent content drops please?

At the very least they should have like a 5 minute update every month just to give an updated timeline and interact with the community. Possibly hold some events on their Discord just to talk with players would be a good way to build familiarity with their players.

I agree. Listening to this AMA and found nothing too fabulous to even remotely take your breath away. These questions were chosen poorly, and most of the discussion was about future ideas or plans that they consider implement, but again, everything seems it's still on paper.

Exactly, a year in and not a SINGLE improvement in contents. I get the "small studio" excuses, but after a massive sale on Steam and a year in you would think the CEO would hire more people to work but nope it looks like he's pocketing the money. The goal post just going to keep getting stretch out until they "release" a year later and call it finish.

I totally agree that it's crazy they didn't bring up swat ai at all and it's so crucial to the solo play aspect of this game and the swat ai needs Hella work

Don't rush yourself into crisis and crunch, rather make everything the right way but also don't take too much time and keep up the communication since it seems like a lot of the comments are frustrated with the slow progression, which I find annoying since they apparently didn't learn to be patient

To sum up the comments, we aren't impatient, just deeply disturbed and angry with the near zero communication we have on this game. I spent $240 for me and a friend to play this, alongside trying to help out a miniature studio, and your buyers expect more information on an update. I'm sorry it just doesn't seem all that difficult.

Impressive this game's getting it's own amazing shape after every updates..another most important elements that need to be modify & improve, that's weapons recoild management system..shooting mechanics & specially weapons sound designs & audio pass systems..specially all ARs..SMGs & Side Arms in this game..all sounds same loud cracking when it's equipt with supressor. Just for an examples when you guys play Zero Hours, Ground Branch & new COD MW2 games, how amazing & realistic way they developed the weapons sound designs..specially COD-MW2..their weapons sounds feels so immersive & amazing..hope Void Interactive & RoN Dev Team surely working on this & looking into this issues..thank you guys..keep rocking..love this game..looking forward.

Yeah, if i do remember correctly, even R6 ravenshield had AI in coop mode and you could even control and switch to any squad member of your team on the fly. I think this one of the most wanted feature in this game after fixing AI in general, pre-planning ect.

I can't say the game is exactly how I pictured it back then but I'm glad it has the core tenets. Just wish it was more polished and had more aahhh, that is new/makes sense features.

There is A LOT of standard options they could have added during this 2 year production but they never bothered to because they're currently getting the fame and money to do so. Sorry, but when you have ONE GUY developer producing Black One Blood Brothers with a shit-ton of more features than Ready Or Not with REGULAR updates within months while Ready Or Not gets none of that something is deeply wrong. Ready Or Not, far more better funded with big fame within Steam area. Still can't give us standard innovated features as the one you pointed out. Black One Blood Brothers have ALL that! Granted, poorer graphics and animations but BOY that is beside the point.

Do they actually address the horrible AI in this Q&A? One of the most important gameplay components, which has led me and many others to abandon the game. All I can hear is talk about art and level design. Stuff that doesn't matter if the core gameplay isn't there.

In the next main big update they are from my knowledge mostly focusing on AI and audio as well as completely reworking the police station and giving the legacy maps a facelift. Read the steam posts for this sort of information.

I'm going to keep this very short and easy. First off I absolutely love RON and the direction its going in! I have around 300 hours playing nothing but single player. And I truly enjoy many aspects that RON brings, like the amazing gunplay, the ability to command the AI swat unit, the amazing details the DEVS put into the game, and much more! However, the main problems that RON is suffering from are the things that heavily take away from the realistic immersion RON brings. Lets start with the awful voice acting FOR SWAT. It clearly takes away from, and just doesn't match up to the level of immersion in RON. Next, most of the maps just have way too many rooms and doors and shit. I say make them more simple and realistic, that way the maps will match well with the realism and immersion. I do think the maps are very pretty though! Last, the AI behavior is quite silly. There needs to be way more realistic features put into this. Everyone will agree that making the suspects have more realistic gun fights with the swat ( like taking cover way more, blind firing, etc.) And make the civilians MUCH more compliant to the swat, as it will make them feel more human and will make RON great. And there are some MODS out there that slightly help with some of these CONS. However, I'd love for it to be officially done in game by the DEVS some day. With that being said, my greatest advice I can give to the developers is very simple. Do more stuff like this and become much closer to the community. Take in all the positive/negative feedback and grow from it, this will shape RON into the masterpiece.

Hopefully pvp doesn't come ever or else everyone will start whining about how unbalanced everything is then the developers will have to remake everything to be unrealistic like redesign maps to be more like mazes with no hiding spots instead of designed like real places, making shotguns completely useless 2 feet away, etc. It will become rainbow six siege. Also games like this isn't suppose to have a story, the point is that there are random situations to deal with. Not like a COD game where every mission and map are part of a big storyline.

void are scammers: did scamm there fanbase at steam start, not sending out steam keys. with the official advise from void interactive to buy the game at steam , while we did owned the supporter edition for 100usd +. they also did official announced they release the game at steam because they needed the mones to develope the game further. money grab 1small update in a year and so far updates took more viable content of the game. they adding weapons and call it a step forward while they delete user interactions lmao. devs constantly banning ppl from steam , just for the fact ppl giving a accurate point of state. void is the typical steam fraud
