@@Penigale Swat4 still has issues with Swat AI , as long as it is playable and somewaht "credible" is good to me. From the footage i've seen suspects AI is VERY on spot, just Hostages AI is a bit meh... i've seen better things in Swat4. But still in Alpha so ... there is always room for improve AI!

@@beppegoodoldrebel4265 After playing, the suspect AI is incredibly hard, which makes the immersion even better, not following basic clearing rules, can lead to a disaster, followed by the death of civillians and agents. The civillian's AI, really needs work, they are incredibly stupid, but it's playable. This game is still on alpha, and way better than all the R6 I've played.

Imagine if this got a procedurally generated level system in the future like Six Days in Fallujah, every encounter would be scary and immersive

This could take the same system as Zero Hour. There, the props are randomly dispossed around the map, making you to go through a specific route to get to the same point. Basically some matches there is a prop (for example a couch) in front of the main stairs, forcing you to rappel or go up using the emergency stairs if you want to get to the second floor. That would be crazy in this game.

@@RoloPnuts as for the media news side of things, the devs backed down at first but then recently came out to say basically "we are making the game to represent the horrors that soldiers face in war, don't like it,don't play it" in different words 😁👍 Here's hoping they stay strong with that attitude as I'd love to play some more realistic war games.

@@sammie8363 playing with ai is quite a different experience than with human teammates. The ai do goofy things most of the time and they cross your sight line a lot. All the communication and deciding to either stay outside or clear a room that you see here in the video is no where near how it goes with ai teammates lol. They'll clear rooms for you, but it feels a bit repetitive when they do it. They're nowhere near as reactive so trying to clear a room as the point man is not as effective because your teammates aren't real people, which leads me to always having them go in first and I miss half the action lol. Still a lot of fun though, but hopefully they get matchmaking sorted out since at the moment it's hard to find a lobby unless you privately invite friends.

Hopefully its increasing popularity will give them enough budget to give the enemy AI an IQ injection. If they could competently use cover, concealment, and some form of tactics then the AI would be 10/10 and lead to even more intense matches.

@@Snapper314 for an Alpha version of the game its running pretty good, tho i will say this, when flashed/stinged or otherwise affected suspects should be more compliant, because right now more often than not they just bug out and not move/listen and block the way making it much harder to get to other suspects in te room... with such early stage i wouldnt be too hard on the developers/game nor would i really try to play anything else than singleplayer or co-op with 4 friends.

If you want to wait for the game to be released we'll you're gonna be waiting a while but i do recommend getting the $120 supporter edition obviously if you have the necessary funds to acquire it. Imo this game is worth the $120 price for the alpha access.

Agreed, however keep in mind that Ready or Not has a much higher budget and has been in development for longer than Zero Hour, and RoN will also cost $60 when it fully releases (or 40 if you preorder it now through their site). Zero Hour is huge value for money at $12

The way you get hit by a shot, a stun grenade, a flash, the smokes is so fucking stressful I love it. And the way you sway and lean with your weapon is so slick, it has a smooth animation.

I noticed at around 5:12 you gain compliance of a suspect and then instantly turn your back to him and continue. Do suspects ever have a chance to go back into a hostile stance, maybe even picking their weapon back up if you turn your back to them like that?

Awesome, how I wish I had a puter to play this on. Used to love SWAT 4 and got pretty good at it. I don't want to be one of those guys, and different units use different go words, but "send it" means deploy a ballistic munition, not for the team to move. Instead "forward" and "go" are used, where "forward" means to move at walking pace, "go" means move fast. You'll soon realise how handy these commands are when you start using them. Additionally, we say " execute" to initiate an explosive, whereupon the guy with the detonator will reply "fire in the hole, fire in the hole, fire in the hole!".

I've heard people complain about not being able to sprint but I feel that helps everyone take the game seriously. I haven't run into barely any people who just run and gun since you literally can't run. Sure there are guys who go in and clear rooms alone but for the most part it is easy to find people who want to play this game tactically I've found since you can die so easily. An amazing game and can't believe how tactically ok some people are and nice to play with people who want to clear rooms right.

Is there a melee mechanic? I feel like in situations where the suspect is stunned but hasn't surrendered yet that would make the most sense as a tactic rather than sitting there yelling commands and waiting for them to make a move. Definitely shaping up to be the product that was originally promised. Want to see the following changes/improvements: 1. More fluid and varied animations. As it stands, they're not BAD, but they are a bit limited and sketchy, especially civ and enemy animations. 2. More dynamic AI. Enemy AI is decent, but they need to take hostages (i.e. body shields), move rooms/react more often after hearing nearby gunfights, and act MORE unpredictable. Friendly AI needs massive improvements. 3. More robust & dynamic blood/gore system (obviously lol). 4. Better voice acting. That said, I have no doubt Void Interactive will knock it out of the park within 12-24mos. Already looking very good.

I've had a few thoughts on how they could increase the unpredictability of the AI: - AI who appear to surrender (ie. already kneeling but not handcuffed), has a chance of pulling out their secondary and firing back - AI can 'play dead' - handcuffed AI can move (because their legs aren't tied) - two handcuffed AI right next to each other has a chance of somehow cutting one of them loose - weapons that are not claimed can be picked up by apparent 'civilians' and shoot back Thoughts?

After a while playing on these maps you learn it too well and it doesn't have the same punch as when you play the map for the first time.
