I feel like the city of Los Suenos really took ALOT of inspiration from Los Angeles. I believe they actually said they sourced real Law Enforcement and SWAT members during the making of this project.

It does, though it has more sky scrapers, and is canonically located south on the border with Mexico. So basically LA if it was more south and bigger. And with a similar crime level exacerbated by cartel groups and with radicalized veterans from an uncaring government cutting off veteran’s aid.
