All the other KZbin files are for individual songs, or in separate parts, so I thought I would share the whole performance.
Apologies if this offends anyone or any organisation, but the show's no longer commercially available (...Dave Clark, why?) and is so good it just needs to be seen!

WOW. At the 19:00 mark, Eric Burdon is looking at Otis and thinking "bloody hell, Im singing with Otis Redding" Brian Jones once said after seeing Otis live, "the Stones are a great live band, but you couldn't pay me a million dollars to follow Otis on stage" My fave singer ever. He's gives it his all, he's passionate and he's honest. No B/S. Aspiring singers, take note of said qualities.

Eric is the one who persuaded the producer to give Otis the gig, i know this won't sit well with Otis purists but at the time Burdon was much the bigger name.

@@lechatel 1- where did I criticize Eric Burdon? 2- Where did I say Otis was bigger then The Animals. I love the Animals, but I am positive that even Eric Burdon would say that Otis was the superior artist. It’s not even close. That has nothing to do with being a purist or not. Health and happiness

Without Eric Burdon Otis wouldn't havw got the gig. Eric was an established star on the show and Vicki Wickham- who booked the talent for RSG - said Eric had been persuading her over and over to get Otis on. (He wasn't really mainstream at all at that point in the UK.) Eventually she caved and this is the result.

Outside of James Brown and The Famous Flames, Otis led the most exciting band to grace a stage in the mid-60s. The Stax house band of Booker T and The MGs were utterly unstoppable during this period. With Al Jackson on drums and Donald Dunn on bass, this was one of the greatest rhythm sections ever recorded. Anybody who saw Otis live in London in 1966 have all said it was a life-changing experience. After nearly fifty years, it is easy to see why.

Timeless. What a singer and performer. The world lost a great talent when Otis passed on. This concert, the energy, the delivery, the presence is incredible.🎵. R.I.P Mr Redding. 🙏❤️.x

Just awesome from start to finish! Thanks a million for finding and posting the whole show. I'd only seen relatively small, tantalisingly fantastic, parts before. I'm not entirely sure if it is all live as I thought RSG was mainly mimed, but it all looks live to me. Either way, it has to be one of the greatest performances ever!

Sweet mercy, what a line-up. Otis delivers, as usual, and Eric Burdon was fantastic. I didn't know who Chris Farlowe was, but he is proof you can't judge a book by its cover.

Oh dear, this dates us all if we remember it! I do. I remember just having to watch RSG before the weekend to check on the music, the fashions and the latest dances. You just could NOT afford to be out of date when you ran with the in crowd!! But, hey, they were great times, best time to be young.

I remember watching this, and then going to see the Stax tour when it came to Leicester in 1967. Didn't we have some great music. I've often wondered what Otis would have done later in his career. Such a sad loss. Thanks for putting this up.

I was only a year old when he tragically died in a plane crash. I went to school at an early age at 6 or 7. I remember when my dad went to work I would listen to his albums. The Shaft soundtrack and Otis Redding Live and Europe albums were the first 2 I could remember listening too and remember being fascinated by both. Watching Otis live performances now is like discovering him all over again. I'm just amazed at how electric he was. He was awesome. I get a joy watching these old clips of him performing. Otis was the best man. Respect.💯

I have been lucky enough to have lived through from the sixties and through the decades have seen everyone I really wanted to… except Otis Redding. What a charismatic star - taken far too young, but at least we can still enjoy these exhilarating performances. After an afternoon watching Otis, PP Arnold, Small Faces and Sam & Dave I am totally emotionally drained… this is music I cannot imagine being bettered - ever...
