WRC 4 vs Dirt3

Some of the main differences of the two games will hopefully get you to try one out, especially WRC 4 as the simulation feel is definitely different.Of course Richard Burns Rally is the most simulation-esque rally game you can get but even with mods it looks very old and it's outdated so this is the next step.

Little late to the party but thanks for comparing. I've been playing Dirt3 a lot and needed something new, and my PC can't handle Dirt Rally :/ But I never heard of WRC and you opened up a whole new Franchise for me to bash through, thanks for that ;)

WRC4 love the physic of the car and bouncing on the terrain/grave the graphics are verry nice too , i like it more cus i played after dirt 3 and the game suprised me

Love both titles. Some people turn their noses up at wrc 4. But the game is good if you stick with it and use 900 degree wheel rotation. The tight slippery technical tracks are a real work out and take some real practice to get good at. After practising for ages on the tight slippery tracks with multiple closely stacked hairpins it felt freakin awesome opening up the Polo R on the fast slippery tracks in Spain. Underrated game.

The WRC series and DIRT series are so different that I will always buy both games. They are both great as far as graphics and most importantly, driving smoothness and reality. The DIRT games are always longer with all the Gymkhana added in, which is awesome. WRC 4 ditched all the stupid side missions from WRC 3 and is a completely better game now. I can't wait for Codemasters to stop making GRID and Formula 1 games and other crap and do DIRT 4!!!

Good video, thinking about getting wrc4, just bought dirt 3 complete for the PC and come to find out they dropped windows live and I can't use the codes anymore. I miss the old repair sections from Colin Mcrea but I hope with dirt 4 coming out they will bring that back. Later.

Can you play this without a steering wheel? That's what I'm doing but people say it's a lot better with a wheel and don't know how I can play without it. Just curious about this...

I find, in general, the harder it is to control the cars, the more realistic the physics actually are.

the phisics and the force feedback in wrc 4 are waay better than dirt3. in wrc 4 the car and the steering reacts more naturally and this make the car predictible and fun. in dirt 3 the ffb is dull and, it shake and vbrate and have same weight to it but don't react in a natural way. wrc in my opinion is a much better game for thoose who research a more sim experience but is too much conservative, the carreer is too simplified and the 3 claas are not that much different. the only different class is wrc junior but is slow and the cars are not fun, than we have wrc 3-2 and wrc which have cars that behave very similar but the only one that i drive is wrc which is so much fun because cars are faster and can be controlled so much more by the throttle, the truck variety in wrc is very good but we have basically just one type of racing which is time attack. i would like a more diversified experience in wrc 4 and better phisics and ffb in dirt 3. the 2 games are different and fun in their oun way

nice job bro in general u said everything right but the hole real main differences now u are right about dirt 3 and it's arcade like handling physics u shoulda said it like this that wrc 4 has way better physics as in there is no comparison vs both when it comes to the physics so yes dirt 3 is better in multiplayer fun and mini games but wrc 4 is ten times better in the racing aspect and handling physics I love doing straight up rally racing then the mini games on dirt 3 so rly it's just if u like racing compared to mini games only the handling physics are diff from another

WRC4 is a fresh approach for me to racing games. I Mastered Gran Torino 6. Have about every racing game ever made for PS3. It's New Dirt for me, pun intended. You do a Very Good review. I'm 60 & drive a real 02' Corvette.

Great review dude, appreciate the honesty and details - and yes, GFWL is intrusive and sucks for PC games.
