I really enjoyed your presentation. I was born into the COGIC denomination and experienced the full essence of what it meant to be a member through the lens of seeing others who were saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost and fire. Matthew 4:11 kjv……From a child I learned our doctrine based upon the WORD OF GOD in the 66 books, kjv version…..when I got older I made a choice to receive the JESUS CHRIST I had heard about and had seen his fruit in others. So I repented of my sins, confessed with my mouth the LORD JESUS and believed in my that GOD had raised JESUS from the dead. Then the LORD saved me. I was baptized in the water, fully submerged; I was taught to live a sanctified life as opposed to a worldly (sinful) life and I began literally to live a sanctified life with the help of the LORD HIMSELF on a daily basis. One must seek the LORD daily to live a sanctified, holy life! When I got cleaned up and submitted to the Will of GOD WHOLEHEARTEDLY because GOD said ….Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1Peter

continued from previous comments ……BE YE HOLY FOR I AM HOLY. I Peter 1:15 & Leviticus 19:2…..I started living a holy life and seeking fir the HOLY GHOST & fire! The LORD filled me with the Holy GHOST and fire! Acts 2:1-4….It was marvelous! Yes, I began speak with other tongues as the SPIRIT gave utterance which was not a language of my own! Praise the LORD! … the doctrine of Salvation Sanctification and Regeneration by the Holy GHOST that the COGIC was founded on through Bishop Charles Harrison Mason is still good today and if going forward our doctrine is altered in any way from the original doctrine and foundation it was built on; then it will no longer be the COGIC of old but something watered down, mainstream and contemporary.

I appreciate the objective and succinct way my church was presented. As the narrator spoke, I kept hearing the Statement (Affirmation) of Faith playing in my head. All I could do was smile.

If you compare COGIC and AG they are very very close in their doctrines and statement of faiths. We pray earnestly that one day that these two movements will unite as one. If God did it over 100 years ago making them the first integrated Pentecostal domination in the world, God can definitely do it again. Thank you for making this fair assessment on COGIC. The Memphis Miracle in 1994 was a ground breaking and anointed event that happen with COGIC and AG. It’s very sad that the satanic division of the Jim Crow segregation had separated AG from COGIC in the very early 1900’s but even now we’ve made huge strides together and we will continue to do so.
@DominicNJ732 жыл бұрын
You can make strides together but you will never heal the division of hate so long as the COGIC and Ag remain in the Devil's embrace by practicing bigotry and hatred toward LGBT people.

Both the UPCI and PAW are Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal groups. I do believe earlier in the movement the joined together, but later just went separate ways, but still both teach the same doctrine. Although the PAW is predominantly black.

I'm so proud in Chile (from 1909 revival) we still have the Holy Spirit moving in the church, and pentecostal church is the largest protestant church in Chile. And I love how the church is still having healing and speaking in tongues. My church: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIOQfIp-eZecoqM My aunt's church: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKiWmX2Ji5hkjbc The Evangelical cathedral of Chile in a Thanksgiving service including the the Chile government as guests: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaPPhpSFjbxpbNU Here in Chile most churches are pentecostal, because of 1909 revival in a city in Chile in a methodist church, then in every congregation was a revival and pentecostalism becomes the majority in the protestants churches who are more than 25% of the country. Personally I haven't met how holy spirit moves in other countries but here I love how he moves really in order and it's just beautiful 💙

I think it's funny that most churches, and theoretically all black churches, I have not been to all black churches, will tell the public their official stand on samesex live. However, they are as silent as the gave on divorce when divorce is exponentially more pervasive. AND, a part of marriage as death is to life. Whether the marriage is successful or not. BEFORE marrying someone or before some gets married at their church. It should officially & Publicly publish it

They are terrible tippers. Servers all over Memphis used to dread when they would be here for the annual convention. Glad they went elsewhere. They took up tables that would usually be filled by tipping clients!

Memphis lost millions when COGIC left and the city requested COGIC's return for 7 years. Resulting in the return of the church in 2022. Memphis lost tens of millions every year when COGIC left and the city's economy took a huge hit. So you're speaking for yourself. There are tons of small businesses that closed in the downtown area because they depended on the income from that singular event. The city added more hotels to be able to keep up with the amount of people and still till this day even at the new hotels most of the employees that once worked at the Marriott still know many of the saints by name and are thrilled to see us back. And to be clear I have ALWAYS been a big tipper and my family is known for that. In fact as a child I had the same waitress every year and my mother paid her $500 at the end of the week EVERY year for having to be bothered with us in addition to her tips.

When you focus on your own relationship with Jesus, what other people do becomes irrelevant. Jesus isn't going to ask you about anybody else sins, we focus on the wrong things like when Peter walked on the water. He was fine until he looked around at what was going on around him

As a church born out of bigotry and racism you'd think they wouldn't embrace such practices and justify them using the bible, as the racists of the past did to them when excluding them from the AOG. I am referring to their bigotry and hatred toward LGBT people and the natural right to marry.
@jamesmcintyre44802 жыл бұрын
What is the natural right to marry? Was that right given by God?

"I am referring to their bigotry and hatred toward LGBT people and the natural right to marry." I mean, it's explicitly outlined in The Bible itself.

The Bible made it pretty clear about LGBT people. I don’t know if I could be a Christian and also believe that it’s ok to be LGB or T.
