@@imapotato1492nothing wrong with Lutherans as long as they are Missouri Synod. Also, I found at least one thing false in FMC’s doctrine: abortion. They said abortion is murder, as God said in His command, EXCEPT. Except. Think about that, “except”. Except termination of a child to save a mother’s life. That is still against the Ten Commandments.

I wish that I could have found the Free Methodist Church when I was a younger minister it would have been the kind of church that I would have loved to have been a pastor and to be a part of. After listening to this I wonder why those folks of the WCA think they need another denomination the Global Methodist Church . This seems pretty similar as far as I can tell.

They wish to get away from a denomination that owns property. And I don’t believe there will be bishops in the GMC. There have been issues with UMC bishops not upholding the BoD, as they vowed to do. I believe those are the major sticking points for those starting the GMC. Personally, I really like the Free Methodist church. My parents joined one when they moved to a small town several years ago, and that church is thriving. Lots of young people, families, and packed worship services. It also has more diversity than some of the liberal churches in a nearby city.

From my understanding (cause I asked the same thing) there was worry over having tens or even hundreds of thousands of people join a denomination like the FMC because such a huge voting block from outside the denomination would cause resentment.

Where can one find statistics on the ages of remaining Church members and ages of those leaving, or having already left the Church? How do the elderly cope with dwindling members? Have charitable activities before Covid, differ with those of now.. 2023? Thank you.

I go to a free Methodists church. I agree with most of what the book of discipline states. But, to say the bible is the perfect word of God, and then suggest that women can be in authority and to consider evolution...it bugs me

So difficult to follow due to the speakers lack of respect for listeners and his inability to pause in speech. A hasty but informative run through of many aspects of the Free Methodists. Very little emphasis on the place and priority of God's Word, Mentions,Yes, but only in passing. Seeing that noone reads these comments I wont bother going on.
