Thanks for the feedback, Brad! We will pass it along to the team.

I didn’t even finish watching the video but as soon as he had the powder I’m confident it’s the Apple cinnamon breakfast meals I got 3 buckets all with the same leak. Just a part at the bottom didn’t get sealed properly.

Well was the chocolate powder for him but prolly at the part of the gusset as mine

I also don't like that they boost serving count numbers by adding a drink mix to a lot of their buckets...

I have 2 of the 7-Day bags for emergency food storage and I put each 4 serving pouch inside of a quart sized freezer ziplock bag. Figured I could halve the meal bags and still pour boiling water in the ziplock freezer bags to cook.

Hi I have just purchased one of these packs and came across your video, brilliant by the way, There is only 3 in my family however we have been closing food bags up with clothes pegs and using the contents later, if its been sat for 20 years I am sure it will be fine for a few weeks longer opened, I will however eat from the open bag and give the unopened bag to my missus and daughter, I would rather eat last to make sure they are full and safe. Lets hope we don't need to get to this state, all the best from the UK.

I listened on reviews on Mountain House and ReadyWise and the main difference is Mountain House has meat in it, ReadyWise only has artificial meat, not real meat, meaning vegetarians can eat ReadyWise easier than Mountain House. . Mountain House is more expensive because it has meat in it and it's products are tastier. If you want to test them out, purchase the product from Mountain House and ReadyWise and do a taste test. The good thing about both of them is that all you need to do is add hot water so you can carry more food this way. Good video, keep up the good work.

Artificial meat?! Thanks for the warning.

im assuming things have changed since then, looking now on their site and the few items i see with meat seem to be real meat although with some bs added in to flavor it. but glad i saw this nonetheless as Im now checking out mountain house to compare for myself. thanks

Personally, I think the packages should be in single servings so that we can use as necessary and ration.

I agree, its always been a complaint of mine to single pack multiple servings.

Single serving size for your average 80 lb. Asian, or serving size for your average 200 lb. American? 😅

They should add half a dozen quart sized heavy duty zip-locks…so as to store uncooked portions for later use

Good comparison of the user friendliness aspect of the zipper bags which are also, quantity wise, more user friendly.

Great presentation. If I am hiking and carrying a back pack a serving for me would be one “2 1/2 serving” pouch. It seems to be common for people to confuse a serving with a pouch and a common advertising practice. I have a Wise bucket, a Ready wise bucket and the flat box from 4Patriots. along with some Mountain House individual packets. I like the dry bag idea. Thanks

I do like the variety of menu items in the "3-Day Adventure Weekender" as well as the new marketing designs. That particular pack would be ideal for me. I agree that the other original way of the large serving size bags is annoying. First off, the bags are obviously much thinner and cheaper. I, too, always seem to have at least one of those bags that have a seal leak with contents all over. The only scenario I can imagine is if SHTF and I'm feeding my entire family in large pots, hunkering down, etc. May I ask where you purchased yours? I haven't seen either of the dry bag kits around my area. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work, brother. 👊🔥

400 calories isn’t 2.5 servings or a meal.. lol.. that’s 1/2 a meal.. so basically take whatever it says and divide by half for best case meal count.. this is why mountain house is worth its weight in gold.. they don’t play the servings game with low calorie counts.. a bag is a meal and a bad is 800-1250 calories depending on the entree..

Readywize is coming a ways with there individual packaging. Much better than that bulk crap they used to do. They are following suit with what people want.
