Great video cap, i cant wait for you to get rid of the annoying lagproblems you got. With all that traffic injection it can really get laggy. I know its expensive to get it fixed, but i think its worth it. I guess it costs the same as new golfclubs and a golf membership at a club :D

@@tj0cktj0ck I know. You’re right. I’ve been told that my specs are fine and it’s an issue with my settings. I wish I had a neighbor to straighten this out. My C Drive is 75 percent full. Could that do it?
@tj0cktj0ck3 ай бұрын
@@FatherTime1958 @FatherTime1958 The real gamechanger is getting frame generation with a 4-series card. I had lag like you before with a 3080 and now with a new cpu and a 4090 i went from 30 fps to a 100fps smooth. Also if im at egll with tons of traffic on vatsim, i still get still 60 fps with everything on ultra settings. The C drive being almost full should be fine but maybe delete/move some stuff if you can. You should also clear your cache if you haven't done that. Here is a good guide for it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGOwaa1pZsusd6M Maybe that will help also, i do quite often.
@holobolo16613 ай бұрын
@@FatherTime1958 Wouldn't be the C drive, 75% is fine, and although generally it is recommended to keep 10% free, it would only affect write performance, not reads. What CPU are you running? MSFS is very CPU heavy. Terrain Level of Detail is the main graphics setting which affects CPU usage. Also having lots of traffic will have a big impact, and loading in all the models. Try reduce those until the stutters go away. You can also limit the FPS to somewhere between 30 to 60 (or above), which should also smooth out the frame times. I've done this through Nvidia control panel. If you have textures on Ultra you could also back them off to High, this frees up a lot of VRAM. As others have said frame gen can help mask the low fps, and you can get software for it if you don't have a 40-series nvidia card. There is a good graphics guide on the MSFS forums by "TheOriginalBabu" which although old is still relevant.

@@FatherTime1958 Yeah not likely to be a hardware issue, that's an excellent rig. I watched some more of your stream and realise you already know about Lossless Scaling etc 😂 At any rate, MSFS always struggles with lots of traffic and dense scenery, even with a 7800X3D, and TLOD on 100, I will get the occasional stutter on short final. Has been much worse since AAU3/lastest graphics driver/AutoFPS update. I'm not sure if it's one of those three but my last two flights have gotten completely soft locked and I had to end task in task manager. It's a bastard of a program, most PC games don't require nearly as much tweaking.

Hi Father Time, how are you doing? So I missed a few recent videos due to being on vacation..............Your ATC program is very realistic, though I think your finding out the limitations of PC flying as you add more and more programs to your sim and start to see some buffering in the sim. Does this program inject the plane traffic as well as the radio traffic, very slick. Amazing what they can do with AI voice creation now.............There was something in FSX called Radar Vector which tried to do something very similar, but years back it wasn't up to this...............Brilliant new video Jeff, thanks and hope your keeping well and still enjoying your sim flying..............All the very best Dave.

@@FatherTime1958 Well when I bought a new PC 15 years ago, yes I believe in getting my moneys worth! I moved from FS9 to FSX, wow what an improvement............but just like when MSFS took over from FSX........Anyway after a while people in the community came up with the best settings to get the most out of your system. FSX is all about CPU unlike MSFS which is all about GPU. So you add airports, AI traffic, new clouds and weather, GSX and a whole host of other stuff which is wonderful, but all has a slight negative effect on performance. I am sure the same is true with MSFS too. There comes a point when you have to decide if your happy with what you can do with what you have or need to constantly upgrade to have everything running all the time..............which comes at a cost of course, it isn't cheap to upgrade constantly. I have a program called AI Traffic I think, it's a FS9 program, but runs in FSX, that gives you real airline traffic and their routes and schedules............It really populates your airports but it slows my system down so much unless I stay at regional airports not Heathrow etc I have turned it off at the minute as I have been flying alot of GA stuff setting up my new throttles, made a huge difference in FPS. Anyway.............it's always a give and take situation with flight simming...............Amazing you can get the whole world of aviation in that tiny PC box isn't it! Nice to hear from you Jeff, all the best Dave.
