LOL at the ref punch. To everyone asking, this is a badass workout. I usually do a warm up round too. Once I'm in the fight I can easily max out my heart rate in 2-3 rounds. If I want to go for 3 x (4-12 round) fights and a long session, I will be around 180BPM at the end of rounds (using chest monitor). Try doing pushups or squats inbetween rounds and you can get in furious fighting shape. Having boxing experience would be preferable for not getting too bad technique engrained. I also play some loud music. It's dope.

Played this on my mates little brothers occulus yesterday, as someone who used to box as an amteur in my early teens I found it to be quite entertaining. I'd say it's more realistic than you expect it to be(for a video game) and it's really good at testing your explosive fitness. That being said I wouldn't play this game to learn how to box from scratch still tho very good h.i.i.t cardio workout.

the only mild gripe i got with the game is that it doesn't reward good boxing form and actual effective moves. You could just there with your hands up and the A.I.s will automatically just drop their hands and stare at you and then you just throw a haymaker wide swing at their jaw or temple or smth and it's a yellow hit. Just keep throwing wide hooks from left and right and you'll eventually just knock them out. And you can't guard against body shots with your elbows cuz you HAVE NO ARMS, just hands. So it rewards you for DROPPING YOUR GUARD and moving your hands all the way down to your body to block body blows.

It would be really cool once the technology advances to have preset levels, which are choreographed to fanour fights. For example, whichever developer programs one of Mike Tyson's fight and copy's his movements nexactly. Your goal for the game is to dodge attacks and land enough blows to knock him out. Or even have a really well designed AI that can actually help real boxers practice without the aid of another person. What are your thoughts on this?

Not easy with a VR headset. If you tightened your guard too much, you're risking to poke your expensive headset. Plus it's a real beginner advice to say "keep your guard up". Here's why: It depends on the style of a boxer and distance. Keeping your guard up when you are out of reach is irrelevant. Energy management is a really big part of a fight. Keeping hands up is only relevant in an exchange in close range. For an "in and out" fighter with a long jab like myself, it's really not a priority. Plus keeping hands up limits your head movement speed.

@@VRBOXING imagine telling a boxer how to box 😂 and hey btw just a random question but I saw on one of your replies you said you “reset your oculus for like the 10000th time” obviously you're probably over exaggerating it but do you have a problem with it and you have to keep resetting or what's up with that? Thanks

@@Nuka-_- there's level to everything, but hey...😄 Now i don't understand your question about resetting the oculus quest. I had my oculus repared by facebook like 3 times in 6 months. I ended with 2 oculus. One refurbished, one brand new. After a reset or a replacement, saved game are gone. What don't you understand? 😀

@@VRBOXING sorry idk if you saw the last comment I posted but I misread what you said and I've haven't gotten thrill of the fight yet so are you just saying the game resets every time

Nope. It was just a game test. Normal mode i think. My goal was to be kick and move around. Wasn't trying to knock the AI off. Plus i just reset my oculus for the 10000 times. So the other mode aren't unlocked yet. I'll do some in outclassed mode when i get back in shape. No problem.
