The only thing that bugs me about Grey's is they never mention the ones that passed as much as they should (they mattered so much) George got one episode after his death and was mentioned like 3 times... He was a best friend, a boyfriend, a husband, over all he was freaking George. Even worse, Lexie. They didn't even give her a funeral on scene. They rarely mentioned her. Sloan too, he gets mentioned a bit more but damnnn they're dead. They're gone. At least talk about how you miss them some more... Idk i hate it so much. Mark and lexie tire a hole in my heart and i feel like they try to make us forget them

I actually really love the way you break things down into so many smaller videos. Really tackling all the minutia and important little remarks or physician concerns -- not just doing everything at once and only being able to tackle the main meat n potatoes of a 45min story. There's no rush, we've all got time - years even - to follow along and hear your education. Most of us have seen the episodes, but we come to your channel for the complementary medical education - so no need to rush as if your videos were themselves a TV show to plow through. This way also lets you bulk record, edit as you can, space out videos far in advance, and still keep time for yourself and family. ...which is apropos given the topic of physician burnout. Covering a full, lengthy episode for each day that you plan to upload would likely compromise a separate aspect of your life. I support this route a lot. (As a side note: the "what happens to George" question is not just a devastating answer BUT is also actually an interesting topic/episode in terms of exploring what happens re: John Doe patients and/or those you can get ZERO medical/personal history from before having to treat. This was also the first episode we discovered that we were going to be just emotionally destroyyyed by 'this quirky new dr show'! Lololol)
@tricia80544 жыл бұрын
I was just thinking about other videos you could do (even though Greys reactions will always be welcomed haha). I'd looove a comprehensive video on POSTURE and the spine! So many of us hunch over our desk, constantly look down at our phones and generally treat our backs... not so great. As a 32 year old, I'm trying to remedy this but its so hard to fix bad habits! Are there any easy exercises we can do each day to help? Also any comment on those "posture correctors" that pull your shoulders back? I heard they aren't good for the muscles they affect? I've googled this in the past and it's such a mess of info. Thanks for all your work on these videos!

In the scene with Cristina at the other hospital, where the surgeons stopped operating as soon as she walked in, I think that was mostly meant as a way to highlight the fact that this was in fact a completely different hospital than Seattle Grace, and that things were just running differently there. I think the main reason they did that was to show that Cristina was a bit uncomfortable being in this new environment.

I’ve had 3, and I’d like to know your opinions on best practices, when you evaluate someone, what is your experience with PT prior and post surgery (ever instead of an operation?) in non-emergent cases, that kind of info. I want everyone to know, if you are in terrible sciatica pain, it can resolve without surgery! Mine did not, but just give hope to people that your doc can really help you, and I now beg for physical therapy before I want surgery. PT really helps, don’t be scared of it. As someone who has been in and out of hospitals the last several years because of chronic illness let me just say..... *Having residents or interns on your case is actually A GOOD THING.* Not only are the _newbies_ excited and eager but are often significantly more familiar with newly discovered diagnostic data. Also..... they are trying very hard to impress the attending doctors (& colleagues & patients). Not only that...... the senior doctors also want to _'prove'_ that they are still smarter then the young _kid_ doctors. It is basically like having *2* or *3* doctors for the price of one. When my hospital became a teaching hospital EVERYTHING involved in care astronomically improved.

I just want to give a shout out to the Cleveland Clinic (shown in the ranking earlier in the video w/ the Mayo Clinic), specifically their Urology/Nephrology departments! In 2018 my dad had bladder cancer and had a cystectomy and a prostatectomy (+removal of inguinal lymph nodes) which resulted in the construction of a ileal conduit. The docs there are awesome! Made my dad feel super comfortable. But during the midst of the pandemic, he went back for a routine 6mo check up. By surprise, his creatinine was at a 4 (doc dropped the F bomb) and they inserted a neph tube into his right kidney (his only good one, left kidney operates at about 20%) so then he had two bags collecting urine on his body. He had to be admitted that night by surprise, and his nurses were great. Especially the popsicle thief who kept smuggling my dad popsicles whenever he asked. Yesterday (after 12 weeks and 2 replacements) he got the neph tube taken out and a renal stent placed and all is good! I’m currently applying to dental school... but I have a feeling I’ll know my way around nephrology/urology and ostomy care more than my D1 student colleagues lol. Love the Cleveland Clinic and love your videos! -future tooth doctor

in the show george died by jumping in front of a bus to save someone, and burke left because he realized christina didn’t fully love him. in real life the actor of burke called george a gay slur forcing george to come out as gay. a lot of fans hated that and creator of the show had burke taken off and george left because his character wasn’t “fit” to be a homosexual.
