Many homeless people are haunted by drug addiction, mental illness or a criminal past. Elmer Alvarez knows those demons all too well. But when he found a check for $10,000, he knew he had to track down the woman it belonged to. Now, they’re teaming up to help others. Steve Hartman has their story "On The Road."

What a truly heartwarming story. It proves that no matter how great or how little a person may have in this life, there if nothing more important than to have principles and integrity in doing what is "right". This young man showed to me his real integrity because he did something so many others would have not done. He showed us all the real substance of a person lies in what they do when no one is looking. And God bless this dear lady who recognized that and helped him out. Her life will be rewarded tenfold for her generous help of this young man and she will be rewarded for her own principles and integrity both here on earth and in heaven one day.
