When one looks at salaries compared to rent/mortgage for the average jamaican the situation is not very bright. Right now it seems jamaica is not being offered for sale to local wage earners

Hi you need to talk about persons wanting to buy a home but they're in there 50s.you talk about 30 years mortgages we would be in our 80s paying mortgages, and of course we would have retired in our 60s so of course our pensions are not like our salary. I get to understand that the older you are is the higher your interest rate it's not so here in the US.so I would like to know if its even realistic to think about buying a home at 55 yrs or I should stop dreaming.

What if its a cash purchase how long after you make your 5or 10% deposit would the outstanding amount needs to be paid ?

It would depend on how long the lawyers take to process all the paperwork, so it’s hard to give a exact time frame

Nht has develops where houses are sold in that range and Believe me houses are on the market for those prices. It might not be brand new but with some attention it can be a great home. Just have to search 👍🏾
