HE IS HIM, I sold a 3.8 mill home in less than two months and I’m confident it was the photos and videos HE took for me. I’ve worked with him for years but never could I have thought I can be as successful if it wasn’t for him. Thank you Jordan

Great video. I do real estate photography part time but book enough shoots to where I'm making what a lot of full times jobs make BUT only working half the time. If you do it right, the money you make can be worth it if you look at the time you spend actually working. I spend more time on the business and marketing aspect of it. I agree with a lot of what you said, especially about the shooting with flash. I don't, never will. No need. SUBBED!

I am so glad I found your channel. I’m an amateur photographer and want to get into RE photography. I watched a ton of videos by Nathan Cool and wanted to buy his course but literally can’t afford it. It’s $600. Plus he is a proponent of the flambiant method which would require more equipment I don’t have. I can’t believe you are doing all this with minimal gear. Nathan says you have to buy level bulkhead, flashes, umbrellas, edit your own photos (until you’re big enough that you don’t have time) and it overwhelmed me so much. Thank you for sharing your experience. To get started, do you need a website with portfolio and if yes how do you get samples of your property shoots if you’re just starting out? Also what service do you recommend for editing? Pixel mob, upwork, etc or did you find it elsewhere? Thank you.
@reallyjordanhorn2 ай бұрын
Glad you’re here! I go over all of this in different videos, so I’d encourage you to flip through. You definitely don’t need flash. I would definitely recommend building a website and portfolio before you start. I have a video called “how to build your portfolio and get clients”, I’d recommend giving that a watch

Hey Jordan. Nice to meet you. Any advice on how to charge per property ? I just moved to UK and I was a Property Photographer back in my country. I like your style of shooting. Kinda same as my way of shooting. Focus on good angle, pleasing eyes to see and normal lightings.
@reallyjordanhorn6 ай бұрын
Hey! Nice to meet you. I charge based off of square footage. So up to 2000sqft then 2000-3000, 3000-4000, etc

Hey Jordan, really enjoy your vids - have learned a ton and am moving forward excitedly, which your vids helped me to do. You mentioned something in one of your other vids about not agreeing with some of Eli Jones’ methodologies. Ironically, his vids also helped me to decide to go forward with starting my RE Photography journey and I’ve even got a call scheduled with one of his people to discuss what he offers as far as training/coaching, but I’m a bit suspicious that he’s more about the money than the passion/love for the business itself. I’m really not wanting to bash or impugn ANYONE but would like some honest/sincere feedback/suggestions from you, willingly of course.
@reallyjordanhornАй бұрын
Sure thing! Welcome to the club! Eli’s fine - he charges a lot. Get ready for them to quote you between $10k-$16k for coaching. That’s not to say it’s that outrageous of a sum, considering how much money you can make doing this, but I think it’s probably a little more than 2x what it’s really worth doing, since you have to do all the work anyways. I charge a whole lot less for my coaching, and it achieves the same thing. The main thing I disagree with Eli about is that he typically goes high volume, low dollar, which sure, can lead to a profitable business, but it doesn’t leave time for anything else. I teach how to work less and make more. Did I mention I charge a whole lot less? Hahah. Long story short, you’ll be paying a premium because of how big Eli’s coaching business has gotten. You’re paying more for access to different people, paying for his admin costs, overhead, etc. You won’t ever talk to Eli. You’re really just going to be using his third party consultants that *he’s* trained to coach you, most of whom have never run a real estate photography business. I’m sure it’s fine, lots of people find success with the program, but idk, little too much for what goes into it. Let me know how the call goes!

@ actually, that’s all I needed to know, I’m likely going to just cancel the call. No way am I paying that much…no way!! I’ll continue to follow your channel and look forward to learning more from your no nonsense approach. Your feedback was hugely appreciated, Jordan. When I learned that the guy I spoke with this morning only did this part time (if at all, of which I’m still not convinced) the red flags went up! Thank you again for confirming my suspicions, it means more than I can express in words. Loyalty above all else, except honor.

Hi! Enjoyed your video. Very straight forward. May I know how much is your overhead expenses for that 2 property shoot? Like, sending your photos to your editor, etc... Also what plan are you in cubicasa? Thanks.
@reallyjordanhorn3 ай бұрын
Yeah just sending interiors to an editor! So gas to get to the shoots, and then I think these were my $0.60 per finished image editor. So maybe all in, 40 total interior photos (roughly), maybe $24? And CubiCasa, free floor plans all day long baby
@MO.Lenswork3 ай бұрын
@@reallyjordanhorn Thanks Jordan. As for the CubiCasa, is it just a 2D? if you don't mind, would be able to share a snip of the floor plan you did on this video?
@reallyjordanhorn3 ай бұрын
Just the regular 2D yes! And honestly, it has been so long since this shoot I don’t have access to it anymore, sorry. But it’ll look the same as any other floor plan done with CubiCasa haha

Great video. I started doing real estate videography last year. Now I'm getting into photography as well. I have the same camera and lense as you. This is my part time Job. 1. Where do you send your photos to to have them edited? 2. What tripod are you using?
@reallyjordanhorn11 ай бұрын
Hey there! I send photos to either Fotober in Vietnam ($0.85 per finished merged HDR image) or Infotech in India (around about $0.40 per finished image, but worse end result). This is the tripod I'm using: amzn.to/47yeTPO with this on top to control verticals: amzn.to/47OD3pD Welcome to the trade! I've got a lot planned for this channel coming up soon, and I have a program you might be interested in as well. But for now, if you're interested, I've got a 7 Day Free Email Training on my website here: masterrephotographer.com/7-day-free-training/ Alongside some other free downloads :) The 1 hour free training isn't live yet, just as an FYI! Happy shooting :)

Brother do you charge by square footage ? Is 30-40 photos per property okay or should it be based according to size
@reallyjordanhorn6 ай бұрын
I do! It varies case by case. A vacant house with no furniture will need less photos than a pro staged home. A small house with a huge backyard will need more photos than a regular house with a tiny backyard. Etc.

Really rather enjoyed your no nonsense "normal size" property shoots. There are some stunning, expensive property shoots on youtube which are great to watch but rather irrelevant to most of the world.

Hey thanks for stopping by! I’m glad you enjoyed. Yeah, and those properties aren’t even where you’ll make the majority of your money. Single family properties is where it’s at!
