I wonder how many families have been torn apart by this. I'd imagine a male chimera would get a similar dna result with their own children? The father believing the kid is theirs but then DNA says otherwise so they leave. The mother swearing on her life she was 100% faithful but having DNA evidence that says otherwise... that no one can really explain. I also think it's wild that (kind of assuming here) most chimeras die never realizing what that are.

To everyone questioning why Lydia had a 0% DNA match with her children when it was her twin: she had a 0% match as being their mother. Lydia said the doctors were accusing her of the kids being her sisters. There wasn’t a 0% match of her DNA. There was likely approximately a 25%, and the investigators could see she was somewhat related to them, which is why they accused them of being her sister’s. the documentary was referring to there being a 0% match of her being the mother

But Lydia had no choice what so ever once she had done original test because she needed benefits and than the just tore her apart. Literally threw her to the wolves multiple times thru the interrogating of her, which is just ridiculous they way they treated her , again especially with the doctor who delivered those babies right their by Lydia side , their than now insulting the doctors intelligence to, like their so GD out of it they don’t know who coming outta what and what’s coming out of who. I think this is more common than they think but most are not getting DNA testing to find out. My ex-husband went to donate blood and found out he had atypical antibodies. It was determined he had absorbed his twin in the womb and was a chimera. His niece from a sister in law needed DNA to determine the father and she had the DNA of 2 men and it was determined she had absorbed her twin but that twin was conceived by another man so she had trace amounts of his DNA in her. One factor seen in both is them not getting sick, these antibodies their bodies make due to the mix give a natural immunity to pretty much everything. I have wondered about my daughter in law as she has no recollection of having ever been sick and she most certainly never been sick in the last 3yrs I have known her. This is strange as she is a type 1 diabetic and never being sick. I can not help but wonder if she too may have these atypical antibodies that give her immunity. Maybe all those people who never seem to get sick do not just have a good immune system.

Has anyone EVER heard of Siamese twins that are not also identical twins???? No, because their explanation isn't possible. Additionally, in that case, there would be a 25% DNA match, but they said there was 0% DNA match. I think that the explanation has to have something to do with the polar bodies because when the DNA splits to form the egg, half of the DNA forms a polar body which has the opposite chromosomes to what the egg has, therefore the polar body and the egg have 0% DNA match. However, none of that explains how the DNA inherited from the mother's father wouldn't have a 12.5% match with the offspring. Its almost like two diploid cells (normal sperm & eggs being haploid cells) have joined together and then gone through the separation process usually reserved to the production of sperm & eggs.

It's a misleading, clickbait-y title. But the story is way more fascinating than the title could show.

If two eggs that fused in the womb didn’t fuse there would have been two babies at birth .. the title scared me honestly
@KS-zc4jn3 жыл бұрын
Twins fused in the womb within the first few days of conception. The DNA for the children belongs to these ladies' twins that fused with them. So technically, genetically they are the aunt. (And Karen, the older lady, her older 2 sons are genetically cousins with the 3rd brother.) So strange, yet interesting.
@KS-zc4jn3 жыл бұрын
@@TaylorJohnson-ur8ek There's nothing "clickbait-y" about it. The twins fused together, so one of them did not fully form and was not born.

For those of you complaining about the music try playing the video on your tv. To me; the music is a bit loud off and on, but not terribly distracting.

It makes no sense that there would be NO match. If you have a twin, their children would share dna with you the same as any niece or nephew.

Fraternal twins don’t carry the same exact DNA 🧬. One of my grandmother was a fraternal twin with a male. There’s also other twins in my family who are fraternal twin but of the same gender

Amy Larson: it wasn’t just the mother being accused of criminal activity, it was the father, too. So, the government policy was to remove all the children that they thought might be on the receiving end of maltreatment in order to scam money from the government.

What a nightmare !! Seems the authorities discounted the medical professionals who were there witnessing the births ?? How could the court not believe those present at the births and the footprints. This example and Karen's are a threat to DNA evidence so it makes sense the justice system would panic. The stress and fear Lydia went through tugs at my heart.
