I think that every child has the right to know who there biological parents are except in a few extreme cases. This show just how right I am. I gave my first Son up 42 years ago when open adoption had barely started. In my case the adoptive parents didn’t want to do that. It was a private adoption and for certain reason I didn’t want to give him up without being 💯 % sure that he would have a home to go to from the start. So couldn’t push for it. Anyway they kept everything they knew about me(it was basically everything) and gave it to my son when he was 18. A few years later he tracked me down. Now he knows more about himself and why he was giving up. We talk every few weeks and it is a blessing for both of us.

I know exactly how she feels, I had a daughter who I gave up for adoption. It wasn't my choice but my father's. I regret doing it every day. I went on to have a son who is 18 now, but my daughter would be 20. I was 23 when I had my daughter.

Hello Becky. Your story would be mine had it not been for my wonderful mother. My pregnancy was horrible, I was 16 when I fell pregnant and 17 when I had him, and my mother stuck up for herself and for me and told him that he WASN'T going to force me to give my baby away and she was the first one to hold him after he was born as I was very unwell after the delivery, and although she died 18 years ago, my son will be 40 next May, he thought of her as another mother and I'm happy about that. My father refused to talk to me for over a year and every time I walked into a room he'd leave it and every time I said hello he'd ignore me. I don't think I could have coped if I'd had to adopt my son out. Go and find your daughter and I wish you the best of luck in doing so. From NSW Australia.

wasn't your fault love.. In the case of the son in the vid,, his mother did choose to not tell anyone but ran away as an adult and not accept the consequences of her actions,, so very sad..BUT, you were clearly forced into it. Hopefully you will meet them one day ❤️ not sure I read that right . you already had a child when you fell pregnant again and gave them up for adoption? maybe my maths are wrong. sorry of I got this wrong. sorry I think I did read that wrong.

well,,no proper explanation given about the woman who gave "Martin" up for adoption, she was an adult,, didn't give her family a chance to offer support, no one knew she had a baby so to me.. she didn't want to accept any consequences of her actions which were no contraception, esp with a stranger. Its more than unfair women thinking they can have babies then give them away.. I do however understand many reasons for kids being adopted, but I can't get my head around why this woman did.

My mother used to worked in a bar where American Navy personnel hang around, she got impregnated by 5 of them. Sad. We're 4 boys and a girl. 4 of us were given away for adoption and one(the eldest) stayed with our mom. I was adopted by a family who is closed to my mom and I regulrly see her overtime. I never saw my other older brother and sister because they have already been adopted before I started to get to recognize what's around me. I just heard stories about them and how they look like. My youngest brother stayed with me for one week whom I had the fondest memories and I could still remember up to this day. He was 1-2 years old back then until my mother took him and gave him to a rich chinese man who owns the hotel nearby. I never heard anything from him since then. I grew up seeing my mother and my brother. Times went by and I graduated in college and became an engineer. I was reunited with my mother and brother and living with them until her death in 2006. I sometimes ask her about my other siblings and all the men in her life, she can't remember them anymore because it had happened more than decades ago, According to her all her relationships lasted over a couple of months ago and becaus she was into heavy drinking especially with "red devil" which is akin to prohibited drugs in effect. Today I'm still living with my brother. It's been over 40 years now but I wish we could still be reunited again someday. My name is Jeffrey, my brother is Richard, my other siblings are William, Rosemary and Jingjing. Our mother is Patricia.
