I gave my dad a kidney! Awesome experience. It's the donor who has the worst pain.

I’m a kidney transplant patient too, I was born with my kidney problems because my kidneys under developed and mentally not matured enough to function like an average persons would normally. I was on dialysis for a little and By the time I was only 2 1/2 years old on September 18, 2001,my biological mother donated her kidney to me. But unfortunately,she passed away from small cell carcinoma in lungs when I was only 6 years old on June 14, 2005. I’m 20 years old now,I still remember the day of the transplant my own mother donated as a loving sacrifice to save my life and I am thankful for her that she saved my life. Right now, I’m fighting a battle with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s B cell lymphoma. “The most important thing is our loved ones,but little things aren’t so little” Dad(Tony Botta) 11/23/1958-8/5/2018 R.I.P Mom (Diana) 10/15/1959-6/14/2005 Beloved but never forgotten.

I had a kidney at the same age then Jack :) (2004) I'm now 27 (2019) and still living with my first transplant donated by my father. After all these years I finally changed my meds to be able to start a family. Yes there's a chance we won't live with one kidney transplant for the rest of our lives, but there's still a big chance it'll last more then 20-25 years. :) Have fun with your new kidney champ!

My son had a chest x- ray just after his 1st birthday. They put him inside a clear plastic tube that enclosed around him, with his arms straight in the air. He was in a sitting position. He screamed his head off ! I watched through the window feeling so much distress seeing him inside the tube. It was terrible !

Hospital gowns are literally like the thinnest things ever... I remember going in for surgery and having to wear one and I asked them if I could wear my bra and they said no (I do understand why they said no but I was slightly traumatised😂)... I felt so exposed like everyone could see my chest even though they couldn’t😣😂

Why does the transplanted kidney only last ~20 years? Cause it's not original? But it's healthy.

Is it a trend in the U.K. for old people to have children? I've never seen so many parents in their 50's have young children. Is that a healthy thing? Can't more things go wrong with the birth or genetically during gestation with older parents? Genuinely curious.
@sammorton7521

Dane Law not really the uk tends to have mainly young parents but having older parents normally makes no difference unless the parents have genetic deformities

@@danielledewitt1 I didn't say if they should or shouldn't but a rule like that is basically impossible to enforce. Better to admit that than have kids growing up thinking roles don't matter because so may rules like that get ignored. Focus on ones that matter and are realistic to foster respect for authority
