wow this is the best istanbul food and location selection I have ever watched in such a short video, and as an ordinary turk who is secretly proud of his food culture and watches foreign youtubers' trips to istanbul just to increase her mood, I watched a lot. :) What a good idea to introduce home cooking, as ordinary Turks we are perceived as consuming kebabs in the morning and evening ahahaha. Your comments were also very appropriate (although for me chocolate baklava is almost a crime and trileçe is a balkan dessert) Good job, you made me a subscriber.

@@chefonajourney Those olives are marinated with blueberries.. Their tastes are so good but they cant eat breakfast.. We normally always eats olives with breakfast but those tastes are like soury, sugary.. It's for apetizer..Not for breakfast (that's just my taste) In my opinion, it's eatable with alcohol.. "kind of meze"..

Welcome to Istanbul ! Due to weather conditions I can't recommend u right now but next time in Summer trips If u visit again, u should try "Balık Ekmek(fish&bread)" next to Galata. It's so fresh and delicious in summer season, nice channel keep up the goodwork, much love!❤

If the tea is too hot for your hands to hold, then its too hot for you to drink it, simple as that. If anything its better because you wont end up burning your lips & mouth like with a handled cup. You sound pessimistic in your speech. The pastry is naturally made oily. The word greasy doesn't sound nice. Buttery is a better choice of word. Su börek/böreği is one of my favorite dishes but you didn't sound to impressed. I just noticed after re watching that you said, "We smashed it." Sometimes its difficult to understand your accent. The chestnuts and the corn are no good in Turkiye so any negative comments there are upheld by me too. The pickled vegetables and fruits are very healthy for you because its fermented. I've never tasted that caramel desert you devoured. Going to have to try on my next visit. Was that sweet shop you entered off Istiklal Caddesi in Taksim? If its not, I think they also have a shop there as well.

Actually I feel the temperature of the glass/cup is always higher than the temperature of the liquid, maybe it's just my impression. I love borek in general but that one in particular didn't make me fly to be honest, even though we devoured it, I still felt it was missing a bit of salt. Btw my accent is very particular, I am aware I still have to work a lot on my communication skills. I will do my best to improve more :) The dessert you haven't tried I believe is not proper Turkish but I 100% recommend it to you. It was the shop in Taksim.
