Cruise control is necessary in EVs especially if you wanna hypermile
@AnupMkyklm2 жыл бұрын
I personally feel, ev shouldnt have ev cruise control because the car is silent and apart from steering control there is no other activity one can do. A person is engaged with the vehicle using the accelerator pedal. We loose the contact with the vehicle once cruise gets to action Second, regen can’t be gained

One thing to highlight about the tyres is that, there are many different types of tyre compounds available. The tyre that's being used in Q3 is softer compound and hence degrades faster and pros is gives better grip and braking. While the tyre in the Nexon Ev is of harder compound tyre which in turn increases the range and reduces the rolling resistance of the tyre(panic braking would sometimes lock the tyres while less probable in softer compound tyres). For Ex. Regular ICE Nexon uses different tyre(Goodyear Excellence in Top variant) and generally the MRF tyres are harder in almost all OE fitted cars and generally last to 65-75k kms.

Because there is no big engine weight
@kohliabhi2 жыл бұрын
@@ganeshram863 Couple of factors. One as you said missing engine weight (but overall EV weigh is higher due to battery however it is more distributed) Another major factor is .... driving habit of EV owners :) Max wear out happens of hard braking if you are doing single-pedal driving your tyre life is automatically increased (this can be done in ICVs as well, but regen range ext makes it a habit for EVs) another major contributor would be fast pickup (especially from a standstill) which again most EV owners would avoid to enhance battery millage.

Now he made more than 10L profit with Tata shares (Indian company grown leaps and bounds in 2yrs) share so he shifted his priority from EV to luxury segment . Its better to get an update when the Doc reaches over 1,60,000 Km which is out of warranty and how is the performance, battery degradation and any other parts replacement or major repairs after after warranty period? as this guy is the only person who is about to reach the warranty period of the Nexon EV, is it really necessary to get his view.
@erannaksheerasagare93242 жыл бұрын
how is it that battery replacement cost is not spoken about in his videos?
@Anknown_guy Жыл бұрын
lol, you do not understand the concept of warranty and how to use it, right now he didn't face any issue with the battery degradation. as per research battery degrades by 5% (Worse case, using fast charging in most cases) yearly on EVs. let's assume it gonna take him 3.5 years to complete the 1,60,000 warranty, his battery will just degrade by 17.5%, he will still have 83.5% health of the battery remaining. even though this guy has used his EV for 20 months (over 1.5 years) he didn't face any degradation probably because he charges it EV at home (slow charger) most of the time and thus his battery is not degraded enough to be noticed by him. The Average battery degradation is 2.3% per year as per Tesla Model S, but due to Indian climatic conditions you may consider 3.5% - 4.5%, so it comes down to 3.5% degradation per year, so for his vehicle, he will lose 10% of the battery when he completes 1,60,000 KM, right now he is getting 240 Km and its already 1.5 years old, 1.5-year-old car and 3.5% degradation per year, his EV vehicle just degraded 5% of the battery during that period which is about 15 Km. He does not need to change the battery when he hits the 1,60,000 mark which he is gonna make it in 3.5 years, the battery will degrade 12.25% and he will still have 87.75%. so at 87.75% health, he will still have a range of 210 km (assuming 240Km at 100% health) It's like assuming, you are gonna change your Car engine after the warrenty period which is 3 years.

@annmary69742 жыл бұрын
There is an 8 year replacement warranty for both the battery and motor....that doesn't mean that it has to be replaced after 8 years...it may last more than that...Moreover, one need not have to remove the whole battery as it is made of cells and only some of them has to be replaced
@AnoopSinghRanhotra2 жыл бұрын
Same here...with my research I gather that in hot climates like ours, one can except a 15-20% degradation. I above example Dr. Madan said, he did 195km with 21% battery remaining, that calculates to 125watss/km, ie 8km/KW.. Which is must say is very good efficiency. An average EV gives about 160watts/km of efficiency. For more details see videos of Bjorn Nyland, especially the MG EV videos, as that's the next option for us in Nepal. Although the Kia Nero EV is he most efficient with least battery degradation due to its heat pump, but damn that is expensive, and I'm not sure whether the new Kia Nero 2022 comes with hest pump. Simple cutoff for me is - don't buy an EV if it doesn't have a heat pump or direct battery cooling in our hot climate

Nexon makes a strong case for frequent commutes and seminurban to rural areas. The running cost is almost negligible for this car. However I'd still stick on to a diesel car for this decade as the next decade will be dominated by EVs Till then, we can understand the resale of EV and if range increased to 700-800km per charge, that's the day I'll make the switch to EV as my drives involve huge distances

@AnoopSinghRanhotra2 жыл бұрын
Chalti रहेगी, all lithium batteries will have some degradation from 3rd years onwards.. So 2 saal के baad, depending on your driving style and battery charging and care style, expect a 10-20 km range drop for every year... So agar 2nd year end main gaadi 200km दे rahi hai, to 3rd year के end तक it will give 195-185 km, which is acceptable for any EV'S. LFP batteries degrade less than MNC batteries, heat pump or active battery cooling system, helps delay battery degradation. - important while buying, ask these 2 questions.
