Hi Colette, I've been watching a lot of your old videos these past few days. Some of those old videos have moments of humour, and some have your cats and Jack in them. Some of your rants I could relate to. And I love your cooking episodes, lol . I've been quite down lately, because my mum was diagnosed with mixed dementia and went to live in a residential home last November. And my partner has terminal cancer. So I have been trying to keep busy,and keep my mind occupied and your videos are so uplifting and so comforting. Xx

Glad to hear the positivity and enthusiasm back in your voice Colette and always uplifting to have a bit of an amble around your wonderful space. I'm with you on drying washing outside it just makes it smell wonderful and it is like tucking yourself up in a bit of nature when you get into bed. I woke up in the middle of the night Thursday and thought at first I had slept in but it was instead a "poachers moon " as my dad would have said. Still up I got and went out into the garden and as you say everything was eerie and just magical. Blessings back to you from Wales.

Oh today was wash day here too. I have washing lines out back and love to dry my bedding on them. It's so delicious to snuggle down into sheets fresh off the line-----they smell like sunshine. It seems so sad that there are little kids around today who have never experienced that. I've never used fabric softener and have no idea why anyone would feel the need to do so. There was one here in the US I think it was Downey whose tag line was "it smells like sunshine". Hate to tell them I'm sure that there is no comparison between that and the real thing. And the real thing doesn't cost anything either!

It’s funny that you would leave the wash out over night and then mention banshees flying about under a full moon. My Greek grandmother would be upset if my mother didn’t get the wash in before sunset, especially our baby clothes. That’s because any witches who would be out at night might get in the clothes and thus, in us. Even though I don’t believe witches will inhabit my laundry, I always bring my airing duvets in before sunset.

Hello Colette! I've been a fan since 6 maybe 7 yrs I remember well, Jack & the kitties. You walked me through cancer & my dog Chance had a famous friend Jack. We lost them both, but will unite again as im sure they are together! Such a dear Lady, such a precious series of books, in which I've read, the bumper sticker I HIGHLY recommend to EVERYONE. Omg...reminds me of my mom when we were visiting her family in Ireland. We stayed at a fancy B&B and she put her washed under garments on the bushes out side our bungalow 😂 I said mom!!! The restaurant can see your underwear 😂. Best memory...lol

What a lovely walk - love the fairy lights! I grew up on a farm in South Africa and before my mother got a (manual) washing machine, the washing was done at the stream. Afterwards, it was laid out on the grass to dry. This reminded me of that time in my life... some 70 years ago!

Since childhood, one of my most favourite things in the world is to see washing blowing on the clothes line. So relaxing for me. If I had hedges I would use them to dry items :) Blessings to you Colette.

My Grandmother born in Stewartsrtown Co Tyrone 1888 : I grew-up with granny as she aged because she had 11 Stone steps Down to rhe coal bunkers with-no hand rail. My job was to fill the coal shuttles and carry to the upstairs In her Victorian built home, also it made me so sentimental To see on the vlog Colette hanging the washing on the hedge rows My granny had box hedge gardens whereby my job as a youngster Was just that. Back in the day, Geraniums were planted along footpaths, so when dresses brushed up against a plant, the material would capture the perfume of the Geraniums...placing clothing over the hedge, would create the same effect, much preferred than chemical perfumes from bottles, which give me migraines..... it's Saturday the 8th, a new day begins, cold, windy, with Autumn well on it's way here...Thank you for your video 🦋🦋🦋 have a joyous Easter.... At the bottom of my garden which is a third of an acre i planted some trees three years ago. ,Ash, Horse chestnut ,Oak, Willow, Silver birch and a purple beech. As i grow Laurel from cuttings i also planted 4 of those. It's amazing how much growth they put on every year.

I am single, retired and on a limited budget. I Love nature, trees and flowers but am fortunate to just be able to put out annuals in my flower pots each spring. I love that you can dry your clothes outside, and on your bushes. It is so healthy to do so, as long as you are away from the dreaded traffic! I am lucky in that I have a little front bit, but there are restrictions here, and I am not allowed to have a washing line! I do however, get my cloths out there to dry on an upright dryer when I can, and I so love the freshness of it. The blue tits have been busy taking nesting material into my little nest box they use every year, on the upright beam on the front of my house, and I sooo pleased. I heard the woodpecker tapping in the distance, when I took my Madge out for a walk first thing this morning, a wonderful noise to hear, and the birds were singing their hearts out, so I thanked them as I passed. Hopefully, the Canada Goose which nests every year in one of the fields near me, that has a wildlife pond in it, is sitting on her eggs in there now, as I have seen a lone (Daddy Goose I hope) Goose in the field now and then. I saw the three beautiful little deer in the field to the side of me as I walked Madge about 7.30pm the other evening, such a wonderful sight. I feel so lucky to have all this nature around me, even if I do not have a beautiful woodland garden, that you have worked so hard on over the years. Thank you Dear Mother Earth, for all you give us to lift our hearts. Love and hugs to you Colette, and thank you for this wonderful video, which lifts all our hearts I am sure. xxx

Sooo glad you posted today! I too love to dry clothes on the line! Nothing like the smell of sheets that has been dried outside in the sun! My grandmother always hung her clothes out too. The different colors of the green and yellows amongst the structures are livid and refreshing. I love sitting out side at night watching the moon especially the Full Moon! How lovely. I love my wash on the line when the weather permits. When I had a boxwood garden , I would drap my extras over. I also had Lavender, sweet woodruff growing. I miss it so much.

A beautiful haven. I live in suburbs close to woods and meadows very blessed really and forage regularly. Mine is a jungle garden!, never mow anything because I have laid topsy turvy stones flags and slates and herbs nettle, dandelion ,plus Star of Bethleham weave around them My washing line is my gnarled Budleigh bush!. On the periphery, you have leaf blowing morons, and lawn mower lunies draining the national grid! The noise is something else. It would be paradise otherwise! All my little friends cats and dogs' have revelled in their sanctuary. Would be nice to see a few furries on your land? Blessed be x

I remember my mother hanging diapers on the line in winter so they would freeze. Softest they would ever be. Now, with HOA's, you aren't even allowed to hang wash outside. Sad.

Happy Easter and what a glorious time for a full moon. I have been in my garden all week, getting the plants and veggies and herbs all ready. I planted a TEA garden this year with rose mint, stevia, lavender, chamomile and spear and peppermints . Getting back to the full moon, I have planned just about all our vacations when I know there is a full moon especially when we go to the ocean. There is nothing more beautiful than the moon lighting up the ocean and sand. . Amazing.

It's amazing how different our gardens are (i'm in Australia), we are trying to keep as much water in the garden as possible and we last put sheets on the bushes to stop them getting sun burnt. But we still have a self sewn giant apple tree, box hedges we put in as cuttings, little silver native daisies, and little hidden sections full of deciduous leaves and branches full of little birds. You have such a lovely garden, its a big job but absolutely worth it.

There is nothing better than hanging the linens out! I hang the clothing I’ve worn for the day, especially my wool sweaters, out on a hook I’ve set up just for the purpose on a covered patio. They hang out overnight and smell so fresh & lovely before they go back in the closet.

I remember when those lovely hedges were put in ...so lovely to see . Friends of ours put in Rosemary hedges instead of the usual box hedge and I always thought it was lovely too . I love to hang my things out on our line and to charge them up with Moon energy is a real bonus x Even though it is Autumn here in NZ I noticed this morning that there is growth on the Kanuka trees as I looked through the skylights this morning , even noticed the Bees...I love to go out and see the new growth or changes every day also love to out at Night under the stars and Moon....Blessings to You Colette , I love how we can all connect here around Our Mother xxx
