All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. -Isaiah 53:6

If the grizzlies give this guy minutes it will help tempt me into getting nba league pass. He jumped off the screen watching Japan in the Olympics and he's playing with the same fearlessness

Yuki must have a passion for basketball. With his elite speed, agility, and hand eye coordination, he could have went pro at any sport where his hight wouldn't be such a disadvantage. He must really not care about baseball or soccer

If you are to bring manga as comparison, he is more like Miyagi from Slam Dunk. Their similarities is both are the shortest player on the court, both use their speed and passing skills to beat their opponents. Slam Dunk is arguably the most popular sports manga ever, a movie adaptation in Japan last year was a maga hit at box office.

Not Miyagi, he's basically Fujima Kenji from Shoyo. It's literally Shoyo brought to life here.

Basketball is increasingly shifting back to good fundamentals. Signing a guy like Yuki is a no-brainer as he came up through a Japanese system that focuses on sound fundamentals. It’s the same reason why Jokic and Luka are so good.
@TeamTimeRidersАй бұрын
@@JamieWoods00746 a lot of teams may start looking for guys like yuki, even if he’s not all that successful in his first year. The emphasis on size in the last several years may now allow smaller faster guys to thrive.

Can't wait to watch G League Hustle. This Memphis team of Huff, Oni, Bacot, Pereira, and Kawamura will be so much fun to watch. Morant and Edey should both play with the Hustle...it's a better crew than Grizzlies.

Too bad they didn't give him a regular contract. Hopefully he doesn't disappear in the G league. That tends to happen to talented players who weren't drafted.

Not sure why you say Kuroko... He's more a Fujima (from Slam Dunk) than Kuroko. In fact, if the Grizzlies are smart, they'll take a cue from how Shoyo played and put 4 big men on court with Yuki. I guess you've never read Slam Dunk?

This is incredibly racist and ignorant to compare a Japanese person to an anime character, first of all. Secondly, Zach Edy will be lucky to average 10 minutes a game, has almost no chance of staying healthy all season, and is no where near “the clear favorite for roty”. Have you been watching the NBA for the last decade? How many true centers who cant move their feet or shoot threes stay in this league?
