Watching this and reading the comments reminded me why I cosplay. (Most) Cosplayers are the most accepting and supportive family, a weird dysfunctional one at that. With arseholes like the people here going 'nerd', 'virgin', 'loser'- you made our lives hell in school. Now we are the engineers, the scientists, the IT crew: comic based movies are topping the charts and gaming is now standard in homes. We have awesome relationships where we talk about our passions and go to events like this to share them. In short- bite it losers

Im an Engineer but i dont like comic books, dressing up or other childish stuff. Ive found that people that do this sort of thing in industry are mostly unsuccessful due to their lack of social skills. Instead of focusing on themselves they focus mainly on the character they are dressing up as. Just be yourself!

Matthew White I must be lucky with my friends then because they all have amazing and varied jobs they excel at, including two top notch Engineers. Of course, there are exceptions both ways. Having those jobs help with the costume and it's awesome to have a creative hobby, rather than going down pub or sitting watching TV. We are all very much ourselves, but our passions for creativity, comics and games combine into this wonderful world- where for a day we can escape and have a bit of fun!!!! I LOVE being Black Canary- and in turn she has given me a lot of confidence in myself day to day. Also, if you think comics are childish- try reading Garth Ennis hun! ;)

The reason of people loving this guy and the environment of ComicCon it's because collecting, comics, toys and video games is still the cleanest past time or hobby there is, and people don't have to discriminate for religion, color or life style. An example that can be for the rest if the human race with its prejudice and evils, all for just profit. People still use the exchange as a means to get some of the stuff they don't have with others of the circle.

I totally agree dude the people you meet at Comic Con are the best people you'll ever meet. In "the real world" I'm a pretty shy guy, but I went to my local Con last year as a Clicker off The Last Of Us and complete strangers were all over me telling me how awesome it looked or asking for pictures.
