Clearly some of you have no clue what a truly HEALTHY relationship dynamic is, because this is NOT a balanced relationship! I'm shocked that some people in the comments are stating that it is... its so codependent! Yes, there are certain nuanced similarities between them, but not ones that are empowering to/for each of them individually... codependency is a form of lack that has you settling into roles & choosing partners that stunt or hinder your growth... Mike doesn't even think a wedding is a big deal & even tells Katie at the end that she could basically do better than him - & she COULD, if she loved & respected herSelf enough, not to settle for a guy who wants to do the minimum & get the most out of his partner... just sad.

Unfortunately Katie being young and naive at 16 and Mike at 21 should've known better for his actions as a grown adult ended up together. Mike doesn't have the guts to stand on his own to feet without Katie he wouldn't know inside from outside or up from down and Katie should leave and deserves better. But love works in mysterious ways and unfortunately brought them together.

In this show they always seem to love the groom to bits and would probably chip in to keep from wearing these jacked up ORDERED FROM WISH looking mess dresses. Blackpool is a bit taboo in my husband’s family. That was the last place my father-in-law saw his sperm donor. That was the early 50’s. He did a runner and the PI found he was living with another woman and there was a half brother. A real mess and a real Prince. Dunno what his mother saw in him. She was a lovely woman.

when guests were arriving to the venue, I noticed a few of their guests were wearing white, and pale pink.. is that normal? I know in the US it's kind of a don't wear white, pale pink cause it's really close to what the bride is wearing unless they put to wear lighter colors on their invitations.

Black is, thee "thou shalt not wear to a wedding" for female guests. Women are expected to wear formal color gowns for evening (it's ok to wear a gown and jewelry/tiara to a during the day ceremony of there's an evening reception) and street-length pastel dresses/formal suits for morning/afternoon weddings. One 2000's wedding etiquette book stated that it was expected that female guests would wear street -length pastel dresses and men would wear suits . Guests were not to wear black or white except for tuxes . Another 1940's etiquette book said, "it is an honor for guests to buy new clothes for the wedding. A widow should put aside her black clothing,for this is a joyous occasion. Mauve or silver are appropriate options if she feels she must wear mourning clothes. If she feels unable to wear anything other than black,she is not likely up to attending the wedding ". The book didn't mention white, although I watched something that said 1930's it was popular to have white weddings. Some colorized vintage wedding videos on utube seem to portray several women wearing white dresses as guests - maybe explaining why Kate Middleton's stylists didn't critique her choice of white maid of honour /bridesmaids dresses . I know black and/or white weddings are seen as modern choices,where upon the bride's discretion choosing one of these makes it permissible for guests to wear these options. However perhaps it's a more recent aversion to wear white, rather than etiquette?

That's a common theme in this series. I've watched dozens of these, and I can only recall one or two couples who didn't have between 1-4 kids. And they say, "We've been together all these years, and we have these kinds de, and getting married seemed like the next step to take." 😳 I'm baffled.
