As someone who knows very little about cars....I love this, and I love these two. I grew up in a rural area getting ripped off or talked down to by make mechanics (millennial). Recently I moved closer to the city and I've been so pleasantly surprised by all of the female mechanics and techs I've seen/interacted with. These two have hilarious energy as well.

That's nice! The good thing about female mechanics is that, given the male-dominant trade, they'll go out of their way to set customers straight. I say this as a guy, but lots of men are so insecure and fragile, and see women as competition, which is totally silly and ridiculous. When I was in the Army, we had a single female pilot/technical inspector in our unit. Everyone else were males, and they were toxic towards her for no reason. She flew better than them and also knew the Black Hawk more intimately than them. She was also a test pilot and was the most meticulous in every task. It's so good that there are more females now in male-dominated industries.

Fun story about cars overheating. My first car was a 1986 Trans Am and being as it was my first car I didn't know anything about the "air dam" that they put under the radiator to help air flow to the radiator since those front bumpers have zero ventilation in them. Apparently the air dam on this car was missing when I bought it so I noticed it would get hot when I was driving down the highway at speed....... unless I was behind a big semi. For the longest time I used to just draft behind semis when I was going down the highway to keep the car cool until I eventually learned about the "air dam" and fixed the problem. 🤣

For "Overheating" that is a Freightliner semi truck. The only way to engage the Engine Fan is to increase the Engine Speed as the Fan Clutch is engaged at closer to 1200 RPMs vs the idle speed of 800 RPMs.

i’ve worked at a gas station before & we would fill the bucket with water then drop in a dissolving tab that turned it into glass cleaner. but we only filled the buckets as needed so they get so contaminated. but you can’t just put glass cleaner into the windshield washer fluid reservoir bc they’re not the same thing

Back in '04 I had a '91 Olds Cutlass Supreme, and blew the radiator in eastern Kansas. I walked back and forth to a creek about a mile back for water, filtering it through a T-shirt to pour it in. When it reached the broken part and started pouring out, I fired it up, ran it up to highway speed, then popped hazards and killed the engine. Had to do this twice to reach the next exit. Rolled into a convenience store, and remembering what the Callaway team did when Corvette #3 blew a hose at Le Mans, bought 10 pounds of ice and took off for the next exit. 10 pounds of ice, next exit. Took me 50 pounds of ice to reach where I could push/coast across the town where my dad lived, parked across the street, and learned how to replace the radiator. (He bought a radiator from Discount Radiator Warehouse. Went through 6 radiators in 3 months before I dropped $400 on a decent one. I started carrying 10 gallons of mix, 4 rolls of duct tape, and got REALLY good at replacing that radiator. Pit crew good, even with the engine hot. Unscrew the drain plug, pull the lower hose, while it drains into a literal wash bucket, pull upper hose, undo all bolts and pull old one, laying it frontside down, drop in new one, secure, attach lower hose, add coolant through upper opening until leaking, attach upper hose, add coolant through radiator cap, start engine, as coolant level lowers, add more until the thermostat engages, seal, use overflow bottle to get air out, keeping it full until the radiator blows again.) Lesson learned: Don't buy cheap parts.

Yeah... Electronics are maybe protected against over voltage at maybe 20-25v but 110v, and then negative 110v will be catastrophic.

Thanks to the great video about 50 years ago my buddy was on a date blind date and it's 57 Chevy he just put a new automatic tranny in he got way out in the country and the tranny was slipping cuz one of the tranny cooling lines wasn't tight he turned up the line but had no fluid but he had two bottles of wine he poured the wine in the transmission it worked perfectly fine two days later he changed the transmission fluid that's pretty ingenious have a great day love your videos
