En México también se celebra Halloween. Así como en los Estados Unidos ya se comienza a celebrar Día de Muertos. El video parece ser del día 31 de Octubre (Halloween), se ve a la gente usar disfraces de Halloween. A la gente que juzga a esta pareja extranjera, pongan atención antes de intentar corregirlos. Quizá en su ciudad o poblado no se celebre Halloween, pero en varias ciudades de México sí se celebra. Y esto no sustituye ni opaca Día de Muertos, sencillamente es otro día que se usa para salir a pasarla bien.

We would never mean any disrespect and are happy you can see that! In Mexico we mostly celebrate “Day of the Dead”, not Halloween. We’re still sticking to our Mexican traditions. It’s good you enjoyed the Mexican street food, so delicious; you don’t need much money in order to taste good Mexican food.

I love that you love mexican street food but you should also mix it up by going to a mid range restaurant and a high price one so you can taste all that we have. You could go to San Ángel inn, El Cardenal, Arroyo, etc. we have so many beautiful and delicious places you can go.

Sometimes we run into audio issues too where we plan to film but the music is too loud which is why we mostly stick to street food. Aquí es día de Muertos y es una tradición desde la época prehispánica, después en la colonia se fusionaron, tradiciones prehispánicas y Católicas. El maquillaje es de Catrín y Catrina, en la época de Porfirio Díaz, así se les llamaba a los ricos. Guadalupe Posadas creo la Catrina Garbancera, en burla a los indígenas que se enriquesian y despreciaban sus raíces, después Diego Rivera la modificó en una calavera elegante. Cualquiera de los dos, significa que ricos o pobres todos al morir, terminamos siendo calaveras. El día de Muertos para nosotros, significa, honrar, agradecer y recordar a nuestros familiares, amigos que ya se fueron de éste Mundo, es un homenaje al legado que nos dejaron. Día de Muertos tiene raíces y significado muy profundo, hay quiénes, sólo por diversión se disfrazan y celebran Halloween, únicamente por diversión.
